Blather still favourite to win another term. The mind boggles how he stays in charge. Fifa can outdo any goverent in corruptness stakes. I've never been less interested in international football right now, and mid be happy to see national football bodies join together to boycott quatar to force some kind of change.

It needs a quorum of countries to decamp to a new organisation with some transparent rules, ethics and governance. If the Brazilian guy goes down, maybe an opportunity for say Brazil, Argentina, Germany and Italy to get together for an alternative World Cup and invite other countries to join them.

These American prosecutors are very shrewd..if they want Blatter I would not be surprised if they have already got some to agree to give evidence against him (if it exists) in return for immunity or a lesser sentence..they'll want the top man.

If guilty verdicts follow I can see this being the end of FIFA..even Switzerland may refuse to host it any longer

True all we sis was winge about it, if the fbi can get involved and we cant says a lot about the lack of power we have, possibly realised that there were members if big business at home that facilitated the corruption but they contribute to the wealth of the wealthy here so just chose to complain about the unfairness of the situation. It could go a lot deeper than that if you are cynical enough and love hearsay and conjecture

Or batter has orchestrated thus to get rid of the people who would have voted against him!!! Its a possibility. Election gets postponed he gets more time to claim he was involves in the clean up of fifa and boom!! He is back in again.

Blatter hasn't orchestrated this - FIFA has been caught with its pants down this morning. And the election of the president is carried out by the FIFA congress which has 209 members, each of which has one vote so getting rid of a few folk, some of whom like Jeffrey Webb are Blatter acolytes, will make no difference.
