Griff was an insult to the intelligence and the worst ever to don a Vale shirt regularly. McCombe was a limited but honest player who I never made similar comments about, I think you confuse him with the wretched McDonald. My comments about the manager were made after the team selection at 2 PM and their subsequent first half shambolic performance proved me correct. I have a ST and will make my own decisions as to whether I feel it worth attending particularly as I am ALWAYS right.

Really? Rudge was in exactly the same position as Page when he took over. Rudge was also a coach!!

 

Look at the successful teams at the moment, the vast majority have had their managers for a reasonably long time. Page has made a huge difference to our team. There is still a very long way to go and he is learning all the time.

streete was injured in the 1st half so wouldn't have been much use to us if it had happened at vale.

Why do we set up at home with a lone striker isolated up top, and a midfield sat in-front of the back four?

 

We can't defend, so why set up defensively? 4-5-1 can be an attacking formation if the midfield bomb forward and support the striker?

 

As we can't keep clean sheets, why not try and attack the other team and go for the jugular? Getting a clean sheet has become an obsession, which has resulted in this boring cautious style of play.

 

It seems our tactic is to sit back, concede the obligatory 1-2 goals then hope the opposition mess up and gift us a goal or two (dodgy back pass, penalty etc).
