Vale to poll shareholders

They won't do a poll mate, the bit "no timescale has been put on when this poll will take place" tells you that. It will be the same as the announcement of the Busgate enquiry, the open answer to Chaudrys bid deadline and so on and so forth, they are playing silly buggers and there are still even sillier buggers who take it all in!!

Yes. I totally agree. Another tactic to try and deflect the real issue.

Roll on the EGM! I might even fly over when that happens!

Cheers Birdy, 800 returns is a great effort btw and will give us an accurate view on things.===

800 have been given the opportunity, response rate around 40%, but it gives the best and most accurate view of shareholder opinion.

Sorry it didn't come across quite right.

My guess is the board will try and base their poll on shareholding so that the donkey drops in the boardroom are counted as a greater influence than say the rank and file shareholder who owns 500 quids worth(apologies to anyone with 500 quids worth of shares but you get my drift).

Then there is of course the boards timescale to do this, Bratt will then moan that the postage has cost the club precious pennies sending out 900+ letters!

I can see it now the old 3 or 4 months comment!

I await NLVs survey results with interest!

If it's in favour of Mo lets get on with shifting the *******s!

Can someone please enlighten me. The Board are calling it an "informal poll". If they are contacting ALL shareholders, what is the difference between an "informal" and "formal" poll.

We all know that the value of a poll is only as good as the questions asked. I would like to bet that the questions will be so ambiguous that the results may be twisted to suit any party. In other words, a total waste of time.

Ahh right, 40% is still a good response though.===

Malc, why don't you ask the same questions on here, well those that are apt to non-shareholders to see what kind of feedback we get from OVF?

By an informal poll they can decide if they will work the vote at the EGM as 1 man per vote or votes per share!

where now, what now

do we have the will to carry this through?

genuine question how many of us are in this for the long haul?

must admit my will power is being stretched to the limit

Keep at it, they are cracking, keep chipping away and there could be some more good news coming this week, slowly slowly their grip weakens. Giving up is not an option now, that is what they wnat and hope happens, we can't let that happen.
