We could and probably will disagree about Ben Williamson all year.

 

However, Rob Page's statement that Ben is bang in form and has an excellent goals-to-games ratio is very very odd.

 

The 4-goals-in-22-games stat would normally be enough to "rest" a striker.

 

I just can't see the lad as good enough for survival in this division, never mind getting out of it in the other direction.

 

For what it's worth I'd love Ben to score a hat-trick tomorrow and stick his fingers up to me.

You don't know how good campion and nimely are they haven't been given a chance. But I'd bet there better than Williamson!!!

On what basis are you dropping him? He scored last time out at VP and there were worse performers than him at Swindon, Marshall been one of them. Do you want him dropped as well?

 

It's got nothing to do with wanting experienced players been picked. He's our fittest top scorer, it's as simple as that. Don't let that get in the way of your agenda though.

 

As for Campion, he'll get his chance when Page believes he's ready for it. It could be today it might be the opening day of next season. There's a perfectly good reason as to why Campion has had the amount of game time that he has had. Page has the answer's, take it up with him.

I bet neither of them are better than Williamson and Page thinks so himself hence why he continues to pick him ahead of the pair of them.

 

Just because one sounds good and the other was good on Fifa 12 or whatever it was doesn't mean there any good. Time will tell obviously, but for now Page thinks Williamson is the better of the three and I trust his judgment.

Interesting fact is that Pope and Williamson have played nearly the same amount as minutes. Pope has 9 goals and Willo has 8, Willo has 3 assists. How many does Pope have.
