Every division can then be showcased to the nation. Im sure Sky will be involved in this and will show 1, possibly 2 games on the day. In each division. And if we have something to play for its great for the club.

 

Its no big deal really is it. Unless you choose it to be.

Correct, in every case! Personally, love Sunday matches, as I can actually get to them without having to get cover for work! And as I'm only about 25 miles from Fleetwood, I can't see that travelling at an appropriate time will be too stressful! Might get a better gate, too, if the part-time pub enthusiasts turn up?

Fleetwood at home on the last day moved to Sunday lunchtime at 12 15 to give League 1 "a share of the footballing spotlight". Not ideal if you don't live in the area.

 

Plenty of notice and with plenty of advertising and the chance to make it a special/fun day it could be financially beneficial

Not ideal if you had something else planned for the bank holiday Sunday! Might have to miss the game if there is nothing on it. Great the way they suddenly decide that in the middle of the season.

 

Good to see your social calendar is so busy a change over 6 months away affects you so significantly!

 

Still it will be yet another excuse people can use not to attend I guess :)

So the year makes a difference, maybe by 2024 we'll be 'showcasing' every week! I don't give a monkeys if they show half a dozen games as I don't subscribe however we have already had 2/3 games moved away from Saturday making it more difficult, more expensive to get to and impossible to get home by public transport, hence additional hotel cost to stay locally.

 

I'm not certain what the Vale are getting in return, apart from the 10 minutes they'll get on the highlights show' but I hope that it makes it worthwhile for them as it's doing nothing for me.

It is not an excuse, I compete in an event over the bank holiday weekend, Sunday and Monday and have done on and off for years. Don't want to miss a Vale game but I don't want to miss this event either, some people I consider good friends from all over the country will be there and I don't see some of them otherwise.
