ordinarily id expect a few to move that way, however I don't think they're doing too well financially so whether they could afford to take any or not im not sure

Was good for us at the time, but I really think we needed to move on.

 

Ive been much happier with what ive seen from the team in Page's short tenure, than the last 12 months under Micky.

 

It was all very 1980's style under Micky.

Not with the money Slew is on he won't! If Tranmere are as skint as reports say, and their gates are worse than ours. Blackburn were paying him 10K a week(of which I'd imagine we are paying a percentage)

Plus we are 'stuck' with(for want of a better phrase) Veseli and Slew until at least January as with long term loans you can't send them back or have them recalled.

I think Daniel and Williamson are decent squad players for us, the others I'd agree Robertson is out of favour and Birchall doesn't offer enough.

 

I don't think anything will be decided until Page has been confirmed though but we probably could do with offloading a couple.

I think he will do very well for them. They're not a club I've ever had anything against Tranmere and always considered them quite similar to us, so it could be a very good fit. I wish both parties well but especially Micky

I think you're right Yukon, Micky should still be a very good manager in League Two at least. His approach on fitness will go a long way to helping whoever he manages certainly at that level. I wish him all the very best too!

I wonder what Tranmere fans will think of Adams 'hoof and hope' constant tactics. I dont think they will have as much patience as us- they are not so nice!!

It'll be right up his street. He'll go back to basics like he did with the Vale side, make them a solid outfit and then build on it. They'll go up next season, particularly as they'll probably have the biggest budget in League 2.

 

Why was this moved from Port Vale General Discussion? It is enough Port Vale news given his long tenure at the club to go in to the only section people actually read and allow him a nice good luck thread. Pretty pedantic to move it.
