Tough game and we have to simply perform like we did at Doncaster to get anything out of this.

My team would be:

Johnson

Veseli Duffy McGivern Dickinson

O'Connor Jennings

Birchall Lines Marshall

Pope

- 5 in midfield so we don't get overrun once again.

- Jennings to sit in front of the back four to break up the play and keep possession ticking over.

- Birchall to come back in as our full backs have been struggling as it is and he provides protection for at least Veseli down that flank. Moore probably not quite ready.

- Lines lucky to keep his place but has looked effective behind the striker both at Wolves away and Sheff Utd at home last season.

Yates, Brown, Dodds and Slew probably all have cases to play though.

A Chelski 4-2-3-1 for me against the Posh:

Neal,

Veseli-Duffy-McGiven-Dicko*,

Brown-O'Connor,

Marshall-Lines-Moore,

Pope.

*Really needs to up his game now. Was very lucky not to be banned for this one so I'd like to see a big improvment on Ssturday.

Let's hope we can get something!

The Posh will have a field day with us 4 or 5 nil ! Vale will possibly drop into the bottom 4 next weekend. I doubted Rory but after yesterday's boring hoof ball its boring to watch and doesnt work for vale.

It will also cost us money as well, fans aren't going to pay to watch that drivel, have a word Smurf, protect your investment.

Once again, we have posters on this thread and other threads suggesting that we need a sitting, defensive midfielder, especially at places like Peterboro. To me and other fans I speak to, this is the only way we will get the best out of O'Connor and Lines if we are going to play them both. While this would mean dropping a 'striker' and reverting to a basic 4-5-1, it would give us more control in midfield and some defensive protection. However, Adams seems reluctant to do this, possibly even more so now he has signed Slew.

Is it us that are all wrong or just Adams?
