Wildes is the reason we are in this mess. Daft ideas like ticket master which look good from the outside but don't actually financially benefit us. He was spending someone else's money and basically didn't care if it ran out . When it did he walked away and now smurf looks the bad guy for cost cutting and sorting this mess out.

Wildes is one big reason we don't have money now. Thank god he is no longer at the club. The man has no money of his own and owes Vale a fortune but that is old news!

Bigger picture, we'll regret it more should we not sign a quality midfielder. We've hardly been on an elaborate spending spree signing superstars.

 

We need O'Connor and 2 forwards which is the bare minimum to compete.

The way people are talking, you'd think that O'Connor is the only midfielder on the planet. We just have to hope that if he doesn't sign,Adams is able to sign a player of similar quality who's demands aren't as prohibitive. I just hope, though, that he doesn't sign players out of desperation just to increase squad numbers.

If we don't sign O'connor we will be looking at league 1 journeymen, we've already missed out on targets who would have improved the team, O'connor is the last one and we need him to sign. I agree about your last point and I don't think Adams would do this, hope he wouldn't anyway.

Lines has just said that when he signed the contract he was told we would sign a number of players. Also said that obvious that we are really lacking in midfield. Seems those in the club are now starting to get a bit nervous, a statement from Adams the other day saying we need reinforcements and quick and now lines. Just hope we can sort some kind of deal out for O'connor, and then Jennings or guyonnet.
