But for me he is not a first choice player for any of the positions he plays in, decent squad player and injury replacement but not automatic starter, IMO for where we are looking to go to. And not my choice for captain either. Should be Dicko now I reckon

Exactly my thoughts, was a better left back than midfielder and if were honest when he first signed, Tommy Fraser was better than he was so he owed us somthing, Shame he didnt show us some loyalty, but fair play hes going back to his home town.

We could end up having to bring in 4 or 5 new midfielders at this rate.....Loft,Knott,Griff and maybe JMW.....having said that I do like this time of year players in players out.

You're correct, IMO he will be sorely missed unless we can replace like for like, or, hopefully with someone better. Time now for MA to earn some of his newly contracted salary and prove he can unearth another midfield general!

For me, J M-W has been going backwards and not progressed since the first half of the promotion season. I thought he lost a lot of the confidence and directness that made him so effective in those early days of 2012/2013 season.
