Never quite bridged the gap from being a promising young player to a decent PL one.

 

He needs to mature and settle somewhere to have any chance of doing that. Would Stoke be the ideal place for him to do that? I don't know.

 

I'm not convinced he's better than anything Stoke have already got in their midfield.

To be honest I can't believe they are considering signing him. I don't rate him at all, he can tackle (at times) but beyond that will he improve stoke's starting 11?

I actually think he's a pretty good player and has a good attitude but gets carried away somewhat

 

He'll bring energy to their midfield and he can certainly pass the ball but I can't see him really improving them

He was supposed to be an up and coming talent a few years ago but seems to have lost his way and his rag in the past couple of seasons.

He's had more red and yellow cards than I've had hot dinners and he certainly won't improve their scoring record though he will get stuck in whenever he's not under suspension. I'm surprised. He seems more of a Pulis player than a Mark Hughes one.

Stoke scraping the bottom of the barrel, thought they needed creativity not Griff MkII. He's usually out half the season with injuries and red/yellow cards....awful signing if it happens.
