For some reason 7 points out of 7 games has stuck in my head after getting a draw at Burnley years ago, in the same league. They scored 4 minutes into injury time. Then we went on a fantastic run and either got promotion or just lost out in the play offs. So plenty of time yet.

We had 7 points from 7 games and 8 from 8 when we drew at Hartlepool the following Saturday.

 

As we're all very much aware, we finished up with 89 points which at the time (it's since been beaten) was a record for a team not to get promoted.

just look at gills ,they can't buy a win neither can northampton in div 2 ,but it's early days, i reckon a win against coventry, and a result at tranmere.

Tough game against a good side. I see Coventry have that french striker Manset from Reading. He his some player quick and powerful, after seeing the highlights at Leyton Orient Chilvers and Robertson wtf were you too playing at?? Shocking defending from too experienced players. Coventry are a confident side and i can see them claiming the 3 points.

We seriously need to bring a defender in on loan if not two all three goals should have been avoided today the third goal should c Robertson dropped ,the first two Chilvers !

A must win game !

Please watch the game; the second goal came from a joint mistake by Dodds and Robertson which Chilvers tried to remedy. I could not blame any individual for the first goal -collective failure or possibly failure of the player who should have been marking but I think individual marking responsibility at set piece is beyond the ability of Vale management.

If they bring 2000 then already that's a gate of 6600 with season tickets .

I was disappointed with Vales part time fans not coming out really v Wolves .

Lets hope they can be bothered come out v Coventry or do we have to be on the verge of promotion or a wembley final come out .

Stand up if u love the Vale ,support is support if your one of those people reading this thread what use r u to Vale at home get to the games and try encourage that much that the players r running harder than ever and playing out there skins .
