It's a sad state of affairs that we even have to give them a trial. What a waste of government funds, just string them up by the balls for treason and have done. Make an example of them.

Giving them a trial protects our freedoms. I'm always amazed people,can't see that. Once we start convicting people without trial, it makes it easier to do for everyone and makes us all less protected, damages our civilisation, and is a victory for the fundamentalist.

These two should get the death penalty, there's no reason or need that they should live, they surely will never be let out of prison but no doubt some half assed idiot will argue for it in the future. When asked why he did this one of the perpetrators said its an eye for an eye, well the same should apply to them.

 

The death penalty was debated on OVF recently and the only reason with any substance given against it was "mistaken identity". In this case there is absolutely no doubt that these two cowards perpetrated this heinous act. These two should be put to death, their bodies burned and then discarded at a time that suits the government to ensue minimal fuss and publicity.

That's not true at all. There were plenty of others including but not limited to morality, cost and the fact that we are a civilised nation which thankfully won't lower itself to the levels of those two people like some would wish.

I am totally against the death penalty but this and the recent pop star/baby rape case does stretch that..but after much soul searching my view remains unchanged
