10/1 - MA to Wolves

Of course he'd leave us for Wolves they're a huge club in comparison, they have a large fanbase and parachute payments which will result in an astronomical budget for League 1 standards

As easy a promotion job as there is Wolves will be.

Very much doubt he'd be offered the job though.

I'd say he'd be mad turn it down if he could go. I think micky is a fantastic manager and would love him stay. But as others have said as much as it would cause panic stations with me, I trust wildes and smurf will get the right man in. This could be a time recruit JR not as manager but his contacts in football are second to non especially at this level. He could help us find some quality whether it be players or a manager if needed.

If he goes, good luck to him. I'm not overly concerned either way, certainly not to the extent I was when he went to Sheff Utd.

Exactly, we could have another 40 page thread on here, but guess what, it won't make a scrap of difference whether he goes or not. Personally I don't think Wolves would go for him anyway, but if they do I doubt I'll loose any sleep over it. Last day of Summer today folks, go enjoy before it ****** down tomorrow.

Gallifreyan Valiant,

Let's hope we don't lose Adams. Regarding your faith in Wildes and Smurf to recruit the right man, not sure what evidence you base that on.

I don't think he will go. I just feel they will use the right contacts etc to get the right man in. They themselves are not the experts but They will use the right means to bring someone in. Plus Wildes says he isn't a knowledgeable man about football but smurf is a big football fan.

There are other managers out there. I mean I would rather Micky stay he worked wonders. But if he does decide to go for a higher paid job and more freedom in the transfer market then he will simple as. As yu say we can talk about it all night. If he goes he goes and we need recruit someone else. No point worrying. Its nice to worry about a manager leaving for after he has got us promotion, and not whether we will survive the season because we are in admin.

How will the budget be spent? Players with 4 year contracts, there may have been a clause about prem relegation, but surely not to L1? Player unrest? TV match income a 10th of the Championship? Moxey on £1M? Uncharted waters, not happened since Swindon when the money was different. But where are Pompey know? I would stick with the Vale, steady job, and the chance of a 5th promotion.
