With the new card swipe system to be used, as a matter of interest, I asked the young lady in the office if the turnstiles would be altered. She told me it would be a hand held swipe machine that would be used. The other thing that was clarified ,which now appears on the FAQ ,was the cutoff date for existing season ticket holders to claim their existing seat.It is defo 31st May and the ticket office do now know this.Steady flow in and out of the office about 12.30pm.

Wat is the point of the application form?

All you need to do is put your name, address, phone number, DOB, Email and where you want to sit.

Surely when you take it in to the shop they type it in to their system. Therefore, you could quite easily tell them. Its the same amount of time.

Also, what about credit card details. For exiles like myself i could print one off and post it but i want to pay by card. How is that possible?

It just seems a pointless exercise, unless im still hungover from Saturday and somebody can tell me otherwise?!:D

Asks all that they need to know, useful for people applying by post, especially for the first time. Also shows the deadlines. I suppose next season it will all be on line for those with access.

Yes Fosse. The girl in the office admitted there was some confusion about that date. Now all sorted.I renewed my ST today and didn't need to fill a form in.I handed in my last match stub, asked for the same seat, was asked for my details to check if I was the correct person, she clicked on the seat map on the computer,I handed over my cheque.5 Mins in total. No more **** off I'm reading the paper.

I was wondering that as well, they are supposed to have one of those database thingys ( I think they are called) with season ticket holders information in, why should a season ticket holder have to prove they were at the last game of the season when they have paid to go to every home league game?

As a pure guess i'd say.The offer for the £20 discount was for the last game. The part of the ticket handed in at the turnstile was later logged into the database. That way it can be checked if that person was at that last game ie entitled to the £20 discount.I have nothing to back up its nothing more than a pure wild guess.

Melv, the girl in the office checked my details against the ticket stub and what was on the computer. She asked for my name and address and date of birth. It was for a renewal ST.I did overhear someone in the office say it eliminates someone else using that ticket ,if it had been lost and subsequently found by another person.

I think £23 for a walk up on the day price is just too high. It should have gone down to £20 rather than up. Season tickets just arent viable for me because of work but i do go to as many as i can. The increase is just stupid though at time to be attracting new support. It seems poor business sense. At worst it should have been a freeze.

Im not really happy with the price of petrol and car insurance.I want it cheaper than it is as do many others. But IF I want to use my car I have to pay the price of the petrol and insurance.

Many prices have gone up something to do with the cost of living.Add to that Vale have gained promotion. Some players may have it written in their contract that if promotion is gained they get a pay rise. The club will want to attract better players, more so with going up a league. This will also cost more money. That money has got to come from somewhere. So without the price going up(not forgetting playing in a higher league).Where would you suggest all this extra money would come from?

By Christmas? try the first tuesday night fixture after the novalty of the opening home game is gone.

So you think that there will be less than 4500 for the first Tuesday night match. What IF that game happen's to be someone like Wolves,Coventry,Shrewsbury,Crewe,Sheff Utd?

I would hope most of those games are on Saturdays which is a more popular and convenient day for most people, although they will attract good gates on Tuesdays they will still be less than being played on a Sat.
