I thought the crowd looked today looked bigger that was announced.What did you think?

Personally I think nearly 12,500 is still a great figure perhaps all the hype in the press etc. had led us to expect more but for me it is still a fine figure and a big reminder of a few years gone by.

P.S. Maybe the free kids tickets weren't included in the total?

I'm not so sure actually..the bycars maybe. If we had played burton today they would have bought more than on a Friday nite. 12500 is still excellent. Why is the bottom tier of he family out of bounds?

:) ,done the maths,capacity VALE PARK,19,000,4,500 HAMIL END,at 1:30 it was officially reported less than 400 home tickets to sell so 14,100 home fans plus about 1,000 Northampton fans equals 15,100 :) Ok the capacity mite have dropped now but by how many :) ... Not complaining as Wildes as got to get his investment back some how :)

If the ground capacity at the moment is 17500 that figure is probably right ,having thought about it.17500 - 4500(Hamil). =13000 seats for home fans.If there is a 10% of empty seats needed due to the ticketing situation that would leave 11700 seats for home fans.I'm not sure where you could have put the other 1300 home fans though?:D I'll be happy if we get a few more crowds like that.What a difference it makes.

I would be interested to know how many unsold tickets there were left for home areas as there wasn't a lot of empty seats.

There were loads of empty seats in the Bycars. Doubt it was 2/3 full. As the empty seats were between groups of people, they weren't that easy to make out. Quite a few spares in the family stand too, and Lorne Street.

I think from memory we had 17500 for the League 1 play off against Bristol Rovers, and Rovers bought over 4000. In that context yesterday was a terrific crowd.

To be honest considering they said the paddock was sold out, I was suprised how many empty seats there were at the family stand end of it first half. Unless that's the number they have to leave unsold, although seemed an excessive amount. Second half filled up, once people swapped ends.

I too was a little dissapointed at the attendance, given that the home ends were supposed to be sold out,3500 empty seats in the hamil i was expecting 15k.

There was only c12000 available tickets for home fans so unless Northampton brought 3000 it was never going to be 15000.

Who would have thought we'd have 2 5 figure gates at the start of the season.
