To be honest considering they said the paddock was sold out, I was suprised how many empty seats there were at the family stand end of it first half. Unless that's the number they have to leave unsold, although seemed an excessive amount. Second half filled up, once people swapped ends.

 

I noticed that but when you then looked at the Hamil end of the paddock you could not see the aisles as fans obviously stood in the ailes to watch the Vale attack in the first half. I am sure that if they were made to sit down you would not have seen many empty seats. I would have to say that the stewards sensibly turned a blind eye to the standing.

Compare our 12496 with the gates at League 1 leaders, both with the chance to seal promotion: Bournemouth 9014, Doncaster 12624. Probably not so many Notts at Doncaster as Cobblers at VP. Build a team and they will come, when the ticket system can cope.

I too was a little dissapointed at the attendance, given that the home ends were supposed to be sold out,3500 empty seats in the hamil i was expecting 15k.

There are bound to be ST seats empty, regulars by me were either on holiday or ill, and that is only a small sample of the paddock. Also the safety allowance for the ticketing system.

I was told that the kids weren't included on the attendance because they got in with the ticket of the adult they were with. Therefore there was a good deal more there than the attendance suggested.

Under 9s would not have been on that total !!! I took one and saw plenty of others.

It's high time we honoured Bill Bell for his achievements on behalf of Vale, his generosity, his skill in man management and financial affairs and took issue with the rumour mongers, smearers and besmirchers who still seek to deny his achievements and impute his motives. The chief among these were the leaders of Valiant 2001 who have now been revealed for what they were.

Bill bell,unfortunately, is best remembered for sacking john rudge.Never forgiven by many a supporter.
