Hit and run at Rochdale Station

Recommended Posts

Spoke to the old bill, CID ringing me in next couple of days... We're Defo not Rochdale fans... They tried to lure a group of vale fans down a street in the estate, when everyone walked back to the station for a taxi that's when the car with the group of Asians inside ran them over... The thud it made was disgusting...! Should get sent down for attempted murder!

I think that they should have a special invite to next weekends mother town party.Fairs fair they will then have a fair chance to explain their actions.

Off the GMP twitter feed:

Shortly after 2.45pm on Saturday 13 April 2013, a car that was travelling around the mini roundabout outside Rochdale Train Station collided with two men.

The incident happened on Station Road and the car, which is described as red with 62 plates failed to stop.

Two men have been taken to hospital, one of the men aged 52, has suffered injuries to his arm and hip and the other aged 36, has suffered a serious head injury. His condition is described as serious but stable.

Officers are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Detective Inspector Dave Sinclair, said: “This is an extremely serious offence and I would urge the driver to hand themselves in before we come knocking on their door"

I am a family member of one of the men injured. Just to let you know one has been discharged yesterday from hospital and the other stayed in over night for further observations and will hopefully be returning home later today. Thanks for all the kind messages.

Surely be CCTV to catch the plate and the scum that did this?

It will all be brushed under the carpet asap.

A group of asians in an ********** ****** of a couple of white guys really doesn't sit comfortably with our depressingly PC media and government.....

I was waiting for a taxi at the taxi rank and saw it first hand too. Car full of Asian lads, the car was driven at them at a fair speed- well over 40mph I would say and they both were hit hard. The younger guy kind of bounced over the bonnet and the older chap was kind of hit on the side of the bonnet I think. I was very nasty indeed and was definitely intentional given the speed, the failure to stop and the laugher and smirking of the driver and his passengers. I have read the article posted above and will be phoning GM police in the morning to do my bit in hoping these scumbags are caught. Still, a taxi rank by a station must have CCTV covering it and there were a few police officers there at the time too. I would say a very good chance they will be caught.

Hi guys, I was one of the group involved in the accident, fortunately I didn't need hospital treatment but my two mates did - they are both discharged now but extremely lucky. If anybody knows anything or saw the incident please get in touch with GMP or PM me and I will pass it on. Thanks for all your comments and good wishes.
