why all the negativity on here??

ok so, why all the negativity just lately, were second in the league which i dare say ANYONE wouldve taken on here at the beginning of the season compared to the last 5 or 6. ive noticed alot of moaning about certain players namely vincent hughes and mcdonald, albeit the latter having been moved on for the time being. Vincent for me was playing a starring role in the side up until he got that bug over christmas and admittedly has struggled for form since but we were winning games with him in the side and i think hes a great asset to this club. hughes has a lot of skeletons in his closet but hes a proven goalscorer in league 1 nevermind league 2 so we cant argue about him, now cant we all just cheer the team on at the next home game and quit all the bad vibes, the team needs us to roar them on to promotion !!

on another note i would like to see hughes maybe come off the bench for a couple of games and let that pope/williamson partnership blossom. i feel it has a future.

The gap to 4th place is still 7 points.

Burton v Exeter, Chesterfield v Gills on Saturday.

We need to start scoring again-I have no doubt that the defence is now sorted-1 goal conceded in 4 games and that was a rare Neal mistake.

3 points on Saturday will set us up nicely for Exeter on Tues.

Onwards and upwards....................

Expectation is the root of all heartache.

Some people obviously have too high expectations from their football club. Also, some people put too much of their life into their football team so when their team loses at the weekend their whole world is black for a week. The only way to brighten their week is for them to offer their expert views into what the messiah has got wrong and how they could have done it so much better if only life had thrown them a bone and given them a chance. The only cure which is hard to administer is to ignore these glass half empty deadbeat downtrodden souls. It is too late for them, save yourself.

Pathetic response.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and just because these people aren't football managers doesn't mean they're wrong.

Every Saturday, at every club, there are thousands of people who 'know' the correct formation, tactics and selection for their team. That's half the fun! That's why we have threads on here where people share their team selection. Although I 'know' my team selection is the right one, I also know I wouldn't do a very good job as a football manager. I even think having a moan at the end of a stressful week at work, not necessarily at your own team, but at the ref, the opposition, opposing fans, can be cathartic.

Well will admit that when Vale lose its does ruin my whole weekend, don't feel like doing anything on a Saturday night then. Blowing promotion for this season after 5 years isn't even an option for me. Football isn't the only thing in my life though, I'm in the process of doing a degree and have business interests aswell. After 5 years though is it too much to ask that we actually follow through this time.

Sorry Williamson just doesn't do it for me, he's had runs in the side before & hardly ever seems to score. Dodds would be a far better bet as him & Popey did well early doors.
