According to his wiki article he graduated last year with a first class degree in Professional Sports Writing and Broadcasting.

Didn't hear all his contribution but what I heard was professional and articulate. Which is more than I heard from John Marsh summarising for Stoke.

I too agree. Very high standard of informed comment and I'm sure Gareth would be well worth employing as a sports journalist if and when he decides that's his career path.

 

However, before then I'd like to see him fit and resuming his playing career for a few years. A fit Gareth Owen is easily good enough for a L2 promotion side, pity his injuries and subsequent changes in circumstance have ended his chances of doing it with us.

he has always come across as an intelligent bloke and i too thought he was excellent. and like somebody else mentioned, it was nice to still hear him refer to the vale as 'us' or 'we'. i'd also like to point out that we have won every single game i've listened to on radio stoke this season!

Enjoyed Owens contributions today. He came across very professional and obviously has a great knowledge of the game.

 

He also kept referring to Vale as 'we' which was nice.

 

Sounded very eager to get the job to be honest.
