I can only echo what others say of 'Our Gaz'. I have always found him to be a real nice and genuine bloke. In the past he was our best defender and a born leader just as we hope Darren Purse is going to be. All the best for a successful career Gaz.

Gareth was very informative about the players the manager and how the players play in training etc. He was very calm throughout and he helped me stay calm listening where as in other games i've listened to i've been tearing my hair out near the end.

I thought he was a reasonable league 2 level player, but he clearly has more potential in coaching / management / journalism. I think we the fans should be grateful to him for managing the relationship with the players effectively during the months turmoil.

I remember him doing co-commentary on a Stoke game about 8 or 9 years ago when I think he was still a Stoke player. He impressed me then.

It was nice when Owen was explaining something that was happening on the pitch because he's talking as a professional footballer watching his mates play a important game. That's something that Blakeman & co have no experience of, so are unable to relate too.

Owen and Mick Cullerton should share the summariser duties. It would be great if somebody could take over from Matt Sandoz as well. He has very quickly turned into an arrogant ****** and needs knocking down a peg or two. He pretty much tries to model his style on exactly how Acres used to be. Acres was naturally arrogant, Sandoz tries to be but just makes himself sound pathetic. You work for Radio Stoke Matt. Stop trying to pretend you are part of the Premier League gravy train, and treat Vale with more respect!!!

A very informative commentary from Gareth Owen,made a pleasant change listening to a players viewpoint instead of a load of drivel from a bunch of hyped up know nowts. Added an extra dimention listening to summarising from a players perspective, more of the same RS.
