Cant believe M Adams would leave Port Vale for Blackburn knowing what he knows can happen like what happened at Sheffield Utd, Mickey is under no pressure at port vale at this present time and everything looks rosey for himself and port vale

Surely Mickey Adams will be thinking the better the devil i know ,,, onwards and upwards mickey things have never being so good for usall

It's inevitable that speculation will be rife linking Adams with a number of Clubs, considering that it will look to the outside people as being a man who stayed in charge of a Club about to go out of business completely but stayed and is now in a prime position to secure promotion with a new regime able to spend in the transfer market. We are going to have to face it, that Adams will continue to be "linked" as long as Vale remain successful. Whether he will ever consider any proposals is another matter. Why should he depart here when he has an apparent good relationship with the owners and is building a Team worthy of going places? Many may say that if he did go then we ought to be able to attract a really decent replacement. However I would have felt that there is no prospect of him leaving us for quite a while yet. He's gone through Hell with us and seen us out the other side and as things stand we are a very attractive long term, ambitious Club. Why go anywhere else.......at the moment?

It could be his "second team" boyhood dream job.... the team he wished he had supported instead of sheffield..... or he could leave for the money.... he said himself hes not very bright.

In reality he would, in my opinion, be mentally deficient if he went there...... but its his choice.

The reason he left for SU was because of speculation on this site, that led to rumours in the wider footballing world, which the SU board picked up on and thought "hang on a minute, maybe we should be going for this guy, he seems popular, he's a Blade, let's get him in for an interview!".

Really THAT was the reason?? I don't think it was, more to do with him doing very well and being a Blade.

Ah, oddschecker, such a reliable source of information. I mean it's not like betting companies create odds based on profit or anything is it

Having said that, Adams won't leave Vale based on what's happened in the past and league position.

It's amazing what people blame this site for! Vales debt, players playing badly, managers leaving...amazing!
