Their goalkeeper was superp and that was the only reason we didnt score more should have been 7 or 8 really. Shaky first half except from the lively Myrie Williams. 2nd much better passed it well and looked liked scoring at every attack. Man of the match for me would have been either Myrie Williams or rob taylor both were excellent. Only play I was dissapointed with was Vincent, something isn't right with him, couldn't beat anyone and didnt look interested.

One complaint is that we still have 11 men back for set pieces, changed in the second half but at one point we had everyone back when they only had ten on the pitch! Anyway good first half and excellent second and an easy 3 points.

I thought Davis was solid at centre half to be fair and Vincent was worth more than a 5. I'd have given everyone minimum 6 with just pope, Williamson and Myrie Williams getting above that

Well done Vale vast improvement on Tuesday.A little slow to start,much better 2nd half.Could have been 6-7 for Vale if it wasnt for their keeper who pulled off some very good saves.

Just seen Pope's header again on Sky, he did brillant to get head and shoulders above his marker to direct the ball past the keeper. He made it look easy.

Fantastic result. Great 2nd half performance. Seemed quite even until the sending off. Thankfully we were able to put 10 men to the sword for once.

Good to see Birchall come on. Doesn't look 100% fit, which is understandable.

Charlie Nicholas has been watching the game for Sky and he's very impressed with Pope & Williamson, especially Williamson. He says we are very strong, powerful with plenty of goals. If we don't go up it will be because of our "defensive frailties."

2nd half display was what we are all about 4 0 you cant ask for anymore and 2 more from tom pope all be it with Plymouth down to ten men , keep going lads thats a great inprovement on our past home results

God win. We played some nice football and we would have won even without the handicap of 11 v 10.

 

Special mentions to Pope who was his usual self. Rob Taylor who had his best game of the season, he defended well and got forward, what a ball into the box for Popeys first. And Ben Williamson who was superb today, definitely deserved his man of the match. I was desperate for him to score to cap his performance.

 

 

Just like to say some of our fans are vile. In the Paddock in the 1st half a couple of lads sat behind me saying JMW and Shuker were **** and have been all season. Wound me up so I turned and told them to cone off it and that both have been great for most of the season. I was met with the reply 'shut the **** up or I will knock you out'. They shut up once Jenno scored.

Very poor first half too much long ball giving the ball away to cheaply, much better second half kept the ball better and played to feet Pope could have scored 4 their keeper played a blinder....put a poor Plymouth side to the sword as a team 2nd in the league should do.
