A lifetime ago I was in the Hamil End celebrating winning the inaugaral season of Division 4 - If I remember right it was Coventry who we pipped for the title and we scored a hell of a lot of goals on the way. Including Harry Poole free kicks bending them like Beckham before he was born! (I think)

I've still got the Sentinel Sunday from the day after we beat Colchester 4-3 early on in the 03/04 season.

 

I'd never seen Vale top any league table before then.

Interesting you mention Harry Poole, by coincidence didn't he end up running a newsagent in Leek after he retired?

Harry Poole was doing his Banana shots even before the Brazilians thought of it never mind Beckham!!
