For me it will be the retained list to start judging him and then who he brings in.

Lovely day here in Plymouth and I’m having a great time, just some stupid Vale match has ruined it..

We never, once again actually looked like winning that, even we their keeper got sent off and we pulled it back to 1-1, I was still thinking…we’re doing nothing with these balls. 
 

If anyone wants Ben Waine, I’ll drive as he has shown why he was frozen out for so long under Moore. The gap in his ability in contrast to Tolaj is embarrassing in terms of on ball ability. I bet he doesn’t have a low ball release clause…
 

We had so much possession, but effective possession..very very little considering the circumstances. 
 

This can’t just be on players, it has been an issue under Moore and Brady. Ideas for creating chances has to be part of a team strategy and tactics, which I have seen little change of.

They were just as gash as us when they were last in League 1 - jury is out really whether they will consolidate in L1 really. 

Long hard look as in this is how to punch above your weight, operate without running up an excessive budget and, as a priority, invest in the footballing side and get it right on the pitch.

in short, everything we haven’t done.

And as for L1, they made a better fist of staying in L1 after their last promotion than we have (four seasons, if I remember correctly).

JB and Co have a really hard couple of months sorting this squad out.  Just hope the owners back him and give him a competitive budget and not a low one.

I think it's on the players. No way can two managers be exactly the same. Can there? Brady knows the players are rubbish. We know the players are rubbish. I bet even the players know they are rubbish.

We will see what football we are going to see at Vale Park starting with the retained list.  Then who he brings in to replace the dead wood currently in the squad.

Hoping he has tried with the current squad and had to shop at the bargain basement - so we may not have seen the best of him.  Give him the close season and see what happens before saying he is a good or bad manager at Vale.

Dreadful 2nd half, played mostly at walking pace with zero urgency, as bad as it gets.

Had a great opportunity to end their play-off hopes after nicking our striker but the Vale players never got going in the 2nd half and couldn't up the tempo.

Scant reward but Curtis was poor and was subbed and Tolaj didn't score.

That's something like 21 pts from 21 games under John Brady and he had a transfer window to change things. The footballing side of the club has to improve or Vale will be in a dog fight next season and the unthinkable could happen.

Just glad sjoke have had a bad season as well.  That would have been worse if they had a good season.

 

Wonder if we will start seeing some of the youngsters coming into the match squad and hopefully getting some game time.
