Doncaster Rovers have just signed winger Leon Ayinde from Ipswich Town - not seen the lad play at all, but presumably DRFC have spotted some potential there.

Looking forward to our first signings.

I still think our first signing/s will come before the end of the month

Both he and Hernandez looked woefully unfit for league football when they arrived. More a pair of fat lads playing Sunday morning after a Saturday day night in a local Working Man's Club than professional footballers.  Hernandez got himself down a shorts size or two, Gray never did. I suspect he did like the idea of playing on a Saturday,  not the reality of training Monday to Friday to be fit to do so. I don't think either are naturally inclined to train, like Worrall. Hernandez seemed to have enough desire to play to still make a sacrifice,  Grey didn't.

I wonder if Worrall will make a return to the club at some point soon to work with the Academy. He got along very well with Carol and helped out with coaching while still at the club. He's without a job, clearly had an affinity with the club and pretty much well liked by anyone connected to the club. Good understanding of the game as he was able to adapt how he played as he got older. Still arguably the best overall wingback since moving to a back 3, although Gabriel perhaps went ahead of him in the second half of last season.  I think at the end he would have been a good rightback in a back 4, as he improved the defensive side of his game.

Come on JRC you should know by now that you cant mention wanting an ex player back in some role on here 😉

I think there is always a club who strikes early making 3 or 4 signings and there are players out there who just want to get sorted, where as there are many who will hold out for the best deals.

I think Husband got sent off a couple of times last season including v us and he got slated by his manager

Isn't that like saying if we'd have scored 8 goals at Chelsea we would have been in the semis of the fa cup 😁😎

Not quite the same?

I believe Terry Bailey has been contacted, those two really fancy the new pitch with their low centre of gravity they should be a real handful if we can keep it on the ground.

Derek Brownbill is our plan B if we decide to opt for a longer ball style.

You heard it here first.

Except for the fact that Derek was even slower than Tom Pope in his final season, all three of those in their prime would have kept us up if played. And there would have been no lack of effort

I hope that you're right.  Not too many days to go though, after the bank holiday weekend!

Yer but deadly Derek was great in the air an after 75 mins as a sub for Terry or Ray would have been devastating on the end of Colin Tarts cross field “crosses”

Andy Cook released by Bradford. How old is he, he scored a load of goals a few years ago before an injury.

Not followed him since but remember the name.

Is he good enough for L2?

This is something I mentioned on here so probably got it off that, not sure about DoF but i do THINK he will come back in some role, maybe DoF who knows

As i have said previous,he knows football very well and has a lot more knowledge than when he was last here whether some on here like that or not and we certainly know he knows how the club should tick,so i would be fine with this one.

On a side note some Carlisle fans have said that they are losing their head of recruitment

Surely we will be expecting Garrity's answer at some point during this coming week

IF Foyle does come in lets hope he has his eye on a couple of National Leagues better talents

I wouldn't mind him bringing Linney with him 🙂
