Tyreece Simpson,I know he was mentioned on here when he got released but i didn't realise that Brady had him on loan at Northampton

He is still only 24 and has lost his way a bit it seems and we know Brady likes to work on players like that to try and make them better,he has the power and pace Brady likes or he did have and is available on a free

Fancy Vale having 2 strikers from last season at a World Cup?

Jamaica are playing in the Unity Cup not the World Cup @Fosse69 unless you are referring to someone else.

Well according to Darren Moore speaking on the managers podcast that was exactly the problem , too many players not good enough for league 1 , also he did mention losing Tolij also was a big factor

His recruitment on the whole was terrible but he failed to mention that

I don’t disagree with that. They would already know which players aren’t good enough when the squad gets promoted to League one, then it’s up to the club to recognise those players and either put them up for sale / pay them off / loan them out the minute we get promoted. I’d also add that we recruited players not up to the task in league one and it wasn’t solely a carry over from the promotion squad.

Croasdale, Byers, Walters, Garrity. Sign up for more of the same and get more of the same. Most people agree with the players who are obviously not good enough not being offered anything, but a lot of fans seem happy to keep players who have played a role to a certain degree and had the odd solid game. For me that doesn’t cut it and we should be making as much room as possible for players who represent a club that proves it won’t tolerate treading water or going backwards. No doubt Stockley, Hall, Croasdale etc. had moments last season, but we should be cycling out as much as possible to refresh the team from top to bottom. “thhEy’re unddder contrACT” - I know but they’re many ways of chopping and changing the squad. We need to be more creative and defiant. Make no mistake, last season embarrassed the club in what should have been a celebration season. Some complicit players will be carrying on with no consequences. The season was a disaster and you can’t go from being relegation fodder to winning promotion with 2/3rds of the same squad, particularly as a lot of those players will know they aren’t going up with us anyway - being on 1 year extensions. I think fans who hold the belief that a centre back here and a striker there will completely turn round an otherwise very similar squad are in for disappointment. Brady will rotate some players out who perhaps might think they’ll be here, but I fear the squad will still look too similar.

I think the Vale have the nucleus of a squad capable of doing well in L2. The area we need to strengthen is, of course, up front. Indeed, the whole squad needs to learn how to strike a ball in anger.

I still think we need someone who will score goals from midfield

A dominant CB now Heneghan has gone

At least 2 strikers who have scored on a reglar basis this season even if that's in the national league

A solid number one keeper and a decent back up keeper

Finally if at all possible a winger or two would be nice

In total that's 7 or 8 players there to come in and maybe a couple more if other players leave

Only my opinion ,

My priority , we need to SPEND MONEY on two decent strikers , not loans , not has beens , not 35 yr olds , and get in a decent keeper , before we even think about other positions.

So do we spend money on two strikers or get a new keeper in before we even consider signing these fabled two strikers? Not sure your post makes the priorities clear🤔

And I assume that by spending money you think the owner should just throw more of her own money at it?

So saying that getting in two strikers and a new keeper , does not make priorities clear ?
