Highly unlikely it’d be here he’s coming to. Apart from anything else we already have Kyle John and Jordan Gabriel under contract. Be a bit daft have three right backs on the books if looking to work with a smaller squad.

    Both John and Gibbo can play CB. Versatility like that is key in a smaller squad.

    In fact Gibbons played mostly right centre half for cambridge in a back 3.

    Gabriel might also have League 1 interest?

    Wouldn’t be surprised if this happened. I wouldn’t be upset either if a promotion team’s player of the year joined us.

    I think we will use Kyle John as a CB and although Jordan Gabriel is still under contract I can see him getting an offer from a L1 club.

    Personally I think the young lad released by Newcastle could make his way here what with the Brady connection and with him being young enough and hungry enough to want to get better and we know that's the type of player Brady wants to bring in

    Absolutely and you don't spend 11 years coming through the academy to first team at a Premier league club without being a good player. If the club did sign thompson I'd like for us to bring a experienced second choice to help support bring him on
