There’s no end of suffering being a Vale fan. At least we are winning at HT and had the nerve to score 2, yes TWO goals! But my goodness we are a dreadfully poor side. It was hard to imagine the football being worse that it was under Moore, but Brady seems hell-bent on achieving it. We have no pattern of play (as far as I can tell), I have no idea what formation we’re playing and we have no control whatsoever. And Gauci’s kicking, well, it’s like something from ladsandads football. These might just have a worse defence than us, but a win today literally will be papering over the cracks. 

Good contest but two very dodgy defences, all be it we’ve stood up largely well to it.

Look better going forward when we get into the positions but have let them dominate so fewer than I’d like.

 

Im not happy with hall rwb and we are conceding too much possession because we are doing our usual trick when we play with 3 cb we are sitting back making it 5 at the back then we are outnumbered in midfield. 

 

I don't see what benefit we are getting from playing 5 at the back it hasn't been good defending it has been desperate defending and I saw their equaliser coming a mile away because they were peppering our box and getting corner after corner.

 

The lad at lwb hasn't stopped a cross yet as far as I recall he is generally doing well but he has to do better with that.

 

Waine has terrorised them with his pace and stockley has flicked it on for him two or three times and made defensive headers so that pairing looks promising but please can we drop this 5 at the back its making my teeth itch.

 

two goals at home though, at least we are in it.

Waine and Stockley doing a pretty good job providing pace and power so far.

The concern with taking stockley off is he's the only one holding the ball up and taking the pressure of the defensive winning free kicks. I think Waine will make way.

Hopefully Gray will come on and show what he can do during the 2nd half.
