On Saturday they need to mix it up a bit and go something like

marosi

John Debbie humphries headley

shipley ojo Curtis

wane faal Paton

committed lads who want to win.

The front 3 also give us pace and movement and should allow Paton to fulfil his potential as a 20 goal a season man

Byers Walters garrity Cole and Stockley may be better players but I don’t think they are suited to what we are trying to achieve . I Also like the danger element of marosi in goal. It should help focus the minds

99.9% sure you work nights and encourage encourage encourage ,my only nagging doubt is that you named 11 players in your starting 11 rather than 13. Maybe a swim , sauna and Asda breakfast would give you better clarity than relying on the string cider ?  Gooooaaarn 👍

Not sure why all the hate.

Another option worth Darren considering would be to play Debbie in a more attacking position . His long throw ins. Pace and power and his underrated ball control could make him a good link up man to create room for wane and faal to exploit. I’ll have to have a proper think about how I could fit that into a formation though. I’d have to balance in if it would upset ojo or not

Are you DM in disguise?

Players conducting their own meetings, and then seeking clarification as to whether they should have mentioned it to the press, is surely a sign that things are getting out of hand.

As soon as player meeting start happening you’re absolutely cooked. I hope we don’t delay the inevitable much longer.

I might be a bit cynical but when a team is struggling injuries always seem to take longer to heal than when a team is doing well 🤔

Not always. A few weeks after Ranieri arrived at Leicester, things were not working. So the players called a meeting, changes were made, History was then made. We will soon know whether the Vale meeting has any effect.

I've said this for years bud, when a team is winning the treatment room is empty and everyone wants to be out on the pitch.

When a team is struggling it's easy to stay out of the firing line.

Morning Vale heads.  Hope you are all well.

I get the depth of feeling on here; no pelters please.  So, in every match recently we've created chances but not scored then conceded a goal and our heads drop.  I think Saturday it will change.

I think we'll still keep creating chances and we'll score; worse - we'll concede first and then score two goals and win.

You heard it here first.

Vale to win 1-2 away and come back after conceding a goal.

To be honest, I couldn't give a monkey's how we score; it could hit Ruari on the arse and bounce and the second one be a clearance off the line by one of their lads that hits Stockly right in the face at full pelt and rebound back in.  Dont care.

But Vale win and pick up 3 points, everyone above us loses.

UNLESS they are trying to get behind DM...??

I fully get the DM out thing and I've recently said that I think his time is over.  BUT, those players are getting paid a LOT of money and they need to take a big portion of blame, too.

Haven’t argued any differently. I just associate player meetings with a failing coaching staff. It’s often the case.

I’ll have 3 of whatever you’re smoking

Sad the apathy that seems to be setting in.

This and Luton were trips I was pencilling in, but genuinely it’s hard to justify the money and time when it’s likely to be such a miserable afternoon.

I’ll keep an eye on it but it’s strange how little I feel bothered.

DM did say after last Saturday’s game that the solution needed to come from within the dressing room and perhaps yesterday it did…..

Our injuries are all in two positions and we could just play a formation that doesn’t use those positions if we want to.

This, exactly.  We've always got some excuse for mr moore.  Injuries,  bad luck, shoulda woulda coulda,  beest X fu#king G Could it possibly be our manager is just not up to the task😱
