In fairness to him, left wing isn’t really his position.

He played better when stuck out on the wing.

If he’s not sacked it’s a disgrace and it’s clear she’s learned nothing from Crosby despite saying she has.

You'll be getting an email sent to all of us with that kind of talk - we fans dont know anything - Well lets see how the PAYING PUBLIC respond to the latest Moore <ovf censored> show that may focus Carol's view .

Another terrible signing. Who’s picking them?

This match to me will not define our season, but it will go a long way to giving us the fans, Carol and Kevin and Darren himself  a glimpse into the future.

To my mind, Darren has a choice this weekend, either he picks his trusted soldiers, those who he would want in the trenches side by side with him, or what he believes is his best eleven in order to win what is probably his 'last chance saloon' for many many Vale fans. Now some of the players picked may fall into both categories but I firmly believe that what those eleven players do once the whistle blows at 12.30 on Saturday will tell us all what camp they are in.

Not only that, but it will also give us all a glimpse into what Darren thinks of those players left out, and what message they take from that.

It seems that the fan base is growing ever more disenchanted at both results, but perhaps more importantly at performances, especially at home. Things can change in an instance as we all know, taking the lead on Saturday will lift everyone and hopefully we can take advantage of our early pressure which has deserved more than what we got from either of the last two League games.

However, I don't particularly mind if we lose on Saturday, we already know that Tolaj will score at least one, we will most probably gift them another which means we need two just to get a point and I cant see us scoring three, can anyone ?

I'm not going to second guess a formation/starting 11, I'm not going to predict a score either, but I will predict that Saturday's game will go a long way to showing where Port Vale are heading under the current manager.

I can't wait.

Like I said.

He should have gone long ago. But I still think Carol will keep him

Carols problem is that she’s never had to appoint a manager before, externally, it’s been done by the DoF. I’m not sure she has the acumen for this and therefore it’s the fear of unknown territory.

DARREN MOORE is clueless no motivation with the players, NO DESIRE and total lack of passion. How these so called players and manager has the audacity to pick up their salaries after this " NONE EVENT v previous bottom of the league PLYMOUTH ARGYLE".

On that display both teams have League 2 written all over them. What annoys me more than anything is the lack of passion any of these players appears to have. Is EFL League 2 really that bad. As last season most of the same players helped Vale achieve 2nd place and currently it appears Vale might NOT score another league goal for the remainder of the season. So what do these players do in training? Obvious NOT have a plan on how to score a goal.

Let's be honest PLYMOUTH ARGYLE were very poor. But could still defeat a lethargic docile Vale side. It's embarrassing. Die hard fans pay good money and are robbed by uncommitted players and clueless Darren Moore.

To stand even a remote chance of avoiding relegation Carol has to show Darren Moore the goal now. We need someone else at the helm for Lincoln City next Saturday.

I've  been calling for Lee Darnbrough to go long before I was calling for Moore to go.

Overall we have missed 3 clear cut chances .

We have for me played well ,obviously DM needs too go .

What can you do

Tolaj is heading too the top

1 not even a clear cut chance GOAL

VALE 3 big chances no goals

As Yazz and  the plastic population, would sing the only way is up .

Will that be with a new manager

Me thinks we will eventually start converting chances .

Never known a team so unlucky .

Still cannot be Vale when just win

If anything my love for them gets  greater when struggling

You cannot convince me we havent got good players we have very good players

See thee hardcore at Lincoln

UTV

No point moaning if cannot score you will always give yourselves a mountain climb .

It's No Use having good enough players

When we've got a manager who keeps playing them out of position and never deviates from the 352 system, things are only going to get worse , He's Got To Go

Well that was a very poor performance, typical of Vale's season.

We have half a dozen good chances and score none.

They have two chances and score off one of them.

I do agree that it's obviously nowhere near good enough.

I don't agree that the kneejerk reaction of sacking the manager is what improves it.

As previously posted, I think the loss of our forwards coach, Lee Bradbury, has had a deeper impact than generally recognised, and I would like to see a new, high-quality forwards coach added to the coaching team.

I can understand where you’re coming from, but it is a Moore issue. He should have replaced the striking coach if that is the issue. Further, the striking coach missing does not legislate for playing players out of position and constantly persisting with tactics that clearly aren’t working.

Has he gone yet?

I just feel empty, apathetic, almost bereft of any emotion. Numb.

Won 150 quid i guess when the inevitable happened but I take no glee from that.

An absolutely appalling afternoon.

If he's not gone tonight I'll be staggered.

Paid ticket and train for Lincoln but if she doesn't act I'm done with this tripe.

I could have accepted a 2-3 defeat with a humdinger and plenty of chances, that today was soulless, passive dirge.

From reading fans forums PASOTI and OVF also talking to ppl at the game today. Tolaj scoring and Argyle winning 0-1 that was the result the bookies didn’t want. So to all those who’ve rinsed the bookies today. 👏👏👏

Speaking of that kind of talk, I think that  the running theme at the club seems to be to keep things nice and rosy and don’t say anything too negative . Moore always has this measured response to every interview , with the usual stock  answers. Gone are the days , it seems, of “ I’ve told them what I thought just now” and “ They’ll be in for extra training on Sunday” . It’s all very nice and sweet , with  no passion or desire. We need a manager to come in who will shake it up.

He may or may not go but genuinely thought they worked their socks off, went into challenges and headers. Poor finishing from poster boy Rauri and shocking defending again for the goal. For all the moaning about Byers, who I agree hasn’t been great, we cannot pass through midfield without him.   Which team did you think was better today? I thought we were…. That’s not saying much by the way as they were awful. Sadly results will dictate but I wouldn’t say he’s lost the players at all. We’re talking about a human being who 17 games ago got them promoted. The toxic atmosphere today wasn’t pleasant but it is what it is

Personally thought it looked like an end of the road performance.  If that's us going hell for leather for the manager in a big game then I really do feel for DM.

Hard to say who was better.  I thought they looked a very poor side but I never thought we were hugely on top.  We had some chances and had we had any confidence about then maybe we'd have won the game.  However, in our current state, I think we could still be playing and not have scored.  I thought it was more likely to end 0.2 than 1.1 by the end.

Playing players out of position when we don't have to.

Dropping players after theyve played well.

Dropping players after making one error.

Signing players we don't need.

Signing players who arent up to the level.

DM, for me, has drained the life out of the squad.

Completely agree on Byers, I don't get the criticism.  Its very Vale to say "well he gets paid most so he should be the best player on the pitch all time and win us every game."  We really miss him when he's not there.

He's human, yes, and I don't go to personal levels with it.

I don't blame him squarely for our last relegation, we had a poor squad and he didn't put it together so I won't lay that one on him.

He did get us up and I defended him against those who wanted him gone when we went through a bad spell as he did, it the main, keep the points ticking over.  But we had a very good team for league 2 last season it has to be said.

This time in league 1 it is very much his squad.  He's been backed and given full control of the club.  This is very much on him for me.

I have just seen the goal on someone's vlog and I reckon Gauci will be very disappointed that he hasn't saved that as he has got a massive hand on it and it has trickled into the net. Actually the shot was straight at him so he definitely should have saved it I'm afraid.
