Carols problem is that she’s never had to appoint a manager before, externally, it’s been done by the DoF. I’m not sure she has the acumen for this and therefore it’s the fear of unknown territory.

She could Ask Johnny Rudge for his advice on a new manager

Because As It is , Darren cannot continue at the helm

Add to the fact we had zero midfield today and unable to control the ball win a tackle go past a player.

i don’t care what anyone says but Byers must start with Hall running and attacking from a central midfield role and either Crossdale and perhaps Shipley. Walter’s was anonymous today and Garrity I am afraid has little technical ability to dictate a game.

john is off his game at present and Headley well he can’t defend simple. It’s no good asking one of the defenders to play out from the back. Many times today nobody knew what to do with the ball as no midfield em was picking up and dictating play.

walters and Garrity were both woeful. Walter’s very pretty on the eye but positioning and dictating play no hope without Byers along side.

i suspect trouble in the dressing room.

I have just seen the goal on someone's vlog and I reckon Gauci will be very disappointed that he hasn't saved that as he has got a massive hand on it and it has trickled into the net.

Think the same, he'll be gutted

I really like Carol but if she does not get rid of Moore now and get a good replacement then I’m going to start thinking if she is right to run the club on her own. Does she need more help? Does she need to step back and let someone else run the club? Crosby was not the right choice, Moore was not the right choice, especially on a 5.5 year contract, and to give both managers the job without interviewing anyone else is border line criminal. Get it wrong again will cost her millions and once again we will have to continue watching dross. She should by now have 3-4 strong candidates- get them in for interviews, dig deep to get the right manager, someone who can keep us up this season and push forward next season.

Completely agree on Byers, I don't get the criticism.  Its very Vale to say "well he gets paid most so he should be the best player on the pitch all time and win us every game."  We really miss him when he's not there.

That game would have been perfect for Byers today and it is noticeable how much we do miss him when he's not playing. We haven't heard anything about him being injured so it seems very odd that he hasn't even been in the matchday squad for the last 2 games.

I wonder who that is Ojo maybe?

Probably fallen out with Moore like so many before.

How can you score a goal when connor hall twats the ball either out of play or to no one

Connor Hall and his wand of a left foot. He’s suffering from Dan Jones syndrome. He may well have won the aerial battle with Tolaj, however on the floor I thought Tolaj turned him far too easy. We have no CB’s that have a smaller turning circle than Cunard’s Queen Mary 2. Which is the worlds only ocean going cruise liner.

.

As I have said before several weeks ago.

Carol and her family for all her good work and investment ( the board) are out of their depth in managing the football side. Not helped by an inexperienced CEO. this will be the vales downfall.

We will have to accept that relegation is a certainty this season.

John Rudge hasn't been active in the game properly in over a decade. If we ask him, we may as well play Bingo with ex-John Rudge players and contacts and I think you'll find that extends to about Steve Guppy who was last seen coaching Rochester in USL.

No, it's time to put the manager job advert up and go through the candidates. It's a crap shoot, and yes there is every chance it could go wrong.

But she could, lean on the football contacts she has for advice and we bring somebody in. Either that or pick somebody she believes in that wants to fight and attack and go from there.

Let's just get a move on and get going with finding the next manager.

It will be interesting to see what the owner(s) do now. I said weeks ago that she does not want to press the sack button and would give him as long as she possibly can to turn it round. I suggested the Bristol game. However no goals in six league games and bottom really leaves you knowhere to go.

Unfortunately even if he goes, there will be no magic wand. The squad is the squad although I hope whoever comes in chooses a squad of 22 to work with until January when they can try to wheel & deal as our squad is way too big and is one of the reasons for where we are.

So much guesswork. Who is the so many before? With evidence?

I like Moore but it’s time for him to go but why can’t some fans request that with some class? The likes of nippy and now angry Spunky make it difficult to get on board because there is no class there, just unabated uncontrolled emotion. It’s embarrassing.

Personally thought it looked like an end of the road performance.  If that's us going hell for leather for the manager in a big game then I really do feel for DM.

Hard to say who was better.  I thought they looked a very poor side but I never thought we were hugely on top.  We had some chances and had we had any confidence about then maybe we'd have won the game.  However, in our current state, I think we could still be playing and not have scored.  I thought it was more likely to end 0.2 than 1.1 by the end.

Playing players out of position when we don't have to.

Dropping players after theyve played well.

Dropping players after making one error.

Signing players we don't need.

Signing players who arent up to the level.

DM, for me, has drained the life out of the squad.

He's human, yes, and I don't go to personal levels with it.

I don't blame him squarely for our last relegation, we had a poor squad and he didn't put it together so I won't lay that one on him.

He did get us up and I defended him against those who wanted him gone when we went through a bad spell as he did, it the main, keep the points ticking over.  But we had a very good team for league 2 last season it has to be said.

This time in league 1 it is very much his squad.  He's been backed and given full control of the club.  This is very much on him for me.

Agreed he’s starting to make some questionable decisions over the last few weeks. Fair comments just don’t think they have jacked it in yet. He’s on a tightrope though and I’m not sure we do necessarily have lots of firepower to score goals. Cole aside… who’s now firing blanks ….we only have Hall who looks a real danger but with little actual goal threat

He was a <ovf censored> in his Plymouth signing interview, he was a <ovf censored> when he laughed in Hall's face after scoring and he's a <ovf censored> after this, at the ground of his previous club where he was quite literally paraded around the pubs on adoring fans' shoulders.

I said at the time his interview was disrespectful and got pelters on here from the usual lot.

Let's be meek good little mice and politely clap him as he behaves utterly disrespectfully.

See Pope brushing his teammates away at Bury for how to conduct yourself properly on a football pitch after scoring against a side where you were a fan favourite.

I’ve been telling you all this week the Argyle fans love him, but some were disagreeing.
