I've hardly ever posted on here but after today I feel compelled to articulate my long held feelings on Moore. I've been supporting Vale since 1969 and have so far managed to avoid being admitted to an asylum despite the many lows amongst the all too infrequent highs! This is not being wise after the event. I have long thought Moore, while seemingly being able to attract a better calibre of player to the club, is one of the most uninspirational managers we've EVER had. The way he stands with his hands in his pocket on the touchline barely offering any encouragement to his players exactly encapsulates his boring low key persona. I listen to his interviews and cringe at every one. He rambles on for minutes without actually saying anything meaningful or remotely coherent, just rambles on. I can't imagine how he comes across in the dressing room. Absolutely no enthusiasm, positivity or motivational skills I guess. His character traits  perfectly reflect what's on offer on the pitch; negative safety first unimaginative dross. The players can't be absolved of blame. Many are skilful but sadly lacking in backbone. Oh for the likes of Tommy McLaren, John James, Ray Williams, Roy Sproson, the Chamberlain brothers and, more latterly Ray Walker, Darren Becford, Robbie Earle and Andy Jones. Some of these didn't have the athleticism or skill of our current mob of mercenaries but most had fire in their bellies or football intelligence. I don't see any of our current players with this, apart from maybe Kyle John or George Byers. In my opinion a good football manager has to have either tactical nouse or motivational skills or both. The latter is probably more important in the lower leagues. I just think Moore is totally THICK evidenced by his utterly bizarre team selections and after match interviews. Would he really motivate you in the dressing room? I have always loved the Vale with all my heart. They have been a constant in my life but don't think I've ever felt so utterly disengaged as I do now. Lenghthy rant over. Moore is crushing my love.

Or we could i don't know hire someone from league 2 or even league 1 ? Like what we did with darren clarke who cut out the duds , gave us an identity,  some passion and a promotion? Theres plenty of managers out there 

Or hire a bloke who's been in management for a club in non league football for 16 weeks. Even better yet give it to jack wilshere who's won his first 3 games of his professional career. Why stop there , give it to Danny pugh he's doing his badges at the minute

Today’s game reminded me of a defeat by the same scoreline away at Sheffield United when Bruno Ribeiro was the manager.

We can choose to stop sleepwalking if we want to.

Posted after the Wigan game to give him until Christmas, I was wrong, he has to go now, Norwich sacked their manager tonight, not sure what we are waiting for, he has to go.  Playing that team he picked today was a sackable offence alone, 6 defenders, 2 defence minded midfielders and Garrity who looks to be finished behind one recognised forward. 

I thought we had a poor summer and it is proving to be the case, Gauci, we only signed because Amos got injured, we would never have brought him in otherwise. The only centre half we signed was Humphreys, decent player but clear to everyone we needed more.  Wing-backs were Gabriel who again is a good player but at the age of 27 only has 136 league games under him so clearly issues with injury. Gordon was signed as an understudy.  We then brought no midfielders in to challenge the current crop and striker wise again signed no one who was any better than what we already have, obviously Cole signed on deadline day but only because we lost Tolaj.  

I just fear the worst and can't see a way out at the moment, already getting cut adrift in the bottom 4 with an awful run of fixtures before the end of the year.  Even if we somehow get 4 points from these next 2 games, we will remain in the relegation places.  Carol has to act and now, still undecided on who I would like to see up here if he goes, the football is dour under Moore, 11 goals is embarassing, Ainsworth and Bowyer mentioned on here, just feel they would bring similar boring football, Bowyer has worked wonders at Burton but spells at Salford, Bradford, Dundee were poor with perceived negative tactics.  I personally just want to see a manager who will not play 5 defenders every week and 2/3 defence minded midfielders.  Please can we have a manager that likes to play attacking football and wingers.

Despite me saying it was a poor window still feel there is a team there that we should be better and not be looking at the bottom 4, just this manager is clueless and so defensive, if I was Paton or George Hall after last week and being the best 2 players on the pitch, I would be fuming.

Ask QPR and Shrewsbury fans what they think. 

Micky Adams did a great job with us on a small budget and Popey scored 30 odd goals. Let's get them back.

QPR are Championship, perhaps he’s not championship standard but we’re not after that currently, we need a manager who can get our players performing and move up the table. Shrewsbury offered him a 2 year contract but he opted to leave, so they must have seen something in him. 

We can all argue a debate let’s be realistic he’s a goner and deserves to be sacked. Carol will pull the trigger because he’s a <ovf censored> manager!
