It wasnt tolaj who was at fault for the three sloppy goals we let in

I didn't say or intimate it was K_S, just the opposite in fact.  "Cherry picking posts" is poor form.

I agree the players were bad, really bad, but leadership comes from the top and I wonder what DM said to the players before the game?

We know from the playoffs with Sheff Wed that he can do it but, on Monday, he has to put some serious lead into their pencils.

They looked so intimidated today that a repeat on Monday will be a disaster.

Time to put up or shut up.

Equally we had a number of experienced players on the field. Players have to take some responsibility for adapting as a game changes.

Teams lose, we're still in a great position.  Carlisle aren't the deadbeats everyone thought, they are allegedly the team with the highest budget in this league.  Most of the season they've had good players playing badly. Callum Guy is a pretty good player to be on the bench at this level. There form over the last 10 games is the same as Bradford. Over the last 6 games they are 6th. They have a new manager who has got them organised.  We've struggled at times this season on smaller pitches. I think a lot of us got ahead of ourselves going into this game. Most of our really horrible performances have been tight grounds. Colchester, Grimsby, Fleetwood, Accrington, Barrow and Bromley.

Byers with credit ?? Sorry disagree there.

Waiting for him to give us a match winning performance, that matches the massive wages he is stealing from us.

If Garrity out for Monday then Byers has to step up and win us three points. If Garrity fit i would leave Byers on the bench again. He has shown nothing to say he deserves to start above Walters.

In fairness to Byers, any player needs a run of games for them to get up to speed and show anything like their best. He hasn't had that this season.

It was clear that Garrity was not 100% fit. Virtually no press at all on their CMs and they got all the time in the world. Now he’s even further away from being 100% fit and the attack seems lost without him dictating it. He’s becoming unreliable in terms of fitness.

Easy to say now but it was clear that the midfield 3 was not working at all. We should have gone 4132 earlier and put Curtis and Richards on at halftime. Any time we went forward they folded, the problem was only Clark was doing it! That game was made for Curtis and Richards carrying the ball closer to the forwards but we waited 70 odd mins.

Not one player could stop their number 9 he dominated our defence. Better get him signed up xx

Agree entirely. Am sure that v Barrow we never pressed at all and it was Garrity in the forward midfield role that did not look fit enough to press. Not sure how fit he really is since coming back this last time. Good hard working midfielder but a big big ask for him to play midfield, link the attacks and offer a high press.

I think there's way to much of the Shorrock pass. By that point we'd been booting the ball out of defence back to Carlisle for about 15 minutes.  The managerial team must have been shouting at them to try and keep the ball and not just give it away.  There wasn't anything on ahead of him and the pressure we were under was ridiculous.  Yes he messed it up but we were always going to make a mistake just constantly giving them the ball back.

Last week the crowd were all behind him, a bet today was not a nice atmosphere

It's as clear as day to me .

How can a team not get themselves up for a game v 2nd bottom of league .

Not taking anything away from Carlisle they totally deserved the win .

You work your proverbials off for weeks get yourselves in a terrific deserved position then come our today  lower standards to a Sunday league team for 65 minutes and when turn last 30 show what should have being showed all 90 .

That to me is not a winning mentality

You have had a question asked of you today ,Vale have crumbled  .

Mon we will need deliver a telling performance after that we have now put doubt in majority of supporters .

Down to the players.

We were lazy when we needed be at full pelt and have now opened the door for others
