we tried that one with Ryan (ive scored against vale so sign me) Loft. and it failed didnt it.

What about Kurtis Guthrie?  To this day his performance against us when he played for Stevenage is one of the best CF displays I can remember at Vale Park in the lower leagues....only to be tortured watching him attempt to play football in a Vale shirt.

I think the guy has a twin😁

I don’t think he will make any changes and I don’t think he will do.

The team that started yesterday, put us in an amazing chance of getting promotion and winning a title.

Top of the league with 3 games to go, is unbelievable.

Everyone of them deserves to start Monday to put it right and they will.

We have a quick turnaround and a few players who a little flat yesterday in terms of energy levels, I will be surprised if Garrity plays Monday. He had been holding his hamstring on and off for a while before he finally went down.

Hart's performance yesterday was probably the best he has had all season so I would also expect him to make the starting line-up.

Probably asking for trouble playing young Jack again but if Moore  had changed the side and we performed like that he would have been criticized. Still in our hands just a bit tenser.  Great save by their keeper off the pen, we`ve struggled against Cumbrian sides this season, send `em to Scotland.

I agree BJ.  The last thing we need for what has been a winning team for a number of important games and weeks is to chuck the baby out with the bath water on the basis of a poor 60 minutes. It’s not rewarding a poor display it’s the manager saying I’m confident you can put this right.  Only changes I see will be for fitness/injury concerns - DM mentioned Garrity in his post match interview regards a knock - I’d argue Ben wasn’t 100% well before his ‘knock’ I’m sure a 100% fit and on it Ben Garrity wouldn’t have allowed their midfielder (#46?) to get a shot away (that hit the post) leading to their 2nd.

We were diabolical yesterday but even we weren't this diabolical.

Joe it's not just our level,  ask Real Madrid. Liverpool lost to Plymouth, Forest and Fulham this season. Garrity and Croasdale have been our most consistent players this season. They have both had odd poor games, yesterday they both had poor games. Both came through non league, probably because they aren't natural distributors and have had to work on their passing.  When they have a bad game they struggle to pass 5 feet. You'd bet your garden shed that both will do much better if fit on Monday.

Thats some technique to volley that in to be fair to the Harrogate lad. The lad wearing 26 for Walsall who botched the initial clearance though is the one Stockley and Tolaj were taking it in turns to pick on in our game there once they realised how bad he was.

Did the Carlisle player who scuffed up the penalty spot during the other shenanigans get booked?

The only positive from yesterday is that we still scored goals so are now 12 in 4 which is an excellent return, have to keep that going and we have a chance still.

I think 5 points will do it because of the Bradford/Doncaster match.

Wow Jacko. you really want us to suffer. ha ha

So its either two wins which is a big ask

OR

one win and two draws and we know what that means when the scores are level and we hanging on and praying we dont concede.

To be honest this is a pretty normal result considering the situation. We are on the back of a 5-0 win, then we see Carlisle are fighting for football league survival. It was always going to be a tough game. We must have one of the most negative fan bases in the entire efl.

I dunno, I bet theres some grumbles on the Saddlers forums😍😍😍

From a Carlisle fan in peace.

Chuffed most of you gave us at least a bit of credit, which makes life a little bit sweeter after some moronic comments on here from some of your fans how you were going to put 5/6 past us.

I actually though that despite some of the comments on here about PV 'not trying' Vale were decent if not outstanding, they 'were' trying but I honestly thought we were simply better, wanted it more, were more aggressive, technically better, absolutely fought for every ball and Hughes got his tactics absolutely spot on!

The last 20 mins were probably the most nervous I've ever been at a football match, and thought it was going to be 'typical Carlisle' somehow blow away a three goal lead, thankfully the stars were aligned today.

Anyway I still don't think we'll be able to do enough to stay up, but at least with that performance it can give us a whole lot of belief , whether we do take the drop or not.

And as far as your boys are concerned, I honestly think you'll be OK.

All the best and thanks for the 3 points

Zero interest in Carlisle apart from the 2 games against you.

Enjoy Braintree next season.
