I meant to say Smith and Hall weren’t good enough in League1.

I know they were in the promotion team but we had Gibbons and Worrall who, in my opinion, were better than Debrah and Hart.

If you are an ironic parodist, you are brilliant.

But I suspect you are simply a little bit silly.

You can make your own mind up about what I am based on the following facts.

I was at Carlisle.

We went 3-0 down.

I <ovf censored> off.

I think we need a new manager of our football team.

my money's on "a little bit silly"

Grimsby the best side in the league away from home.
We could conceivably be out of the top 3 on Monday if results don't go our way.
Today was massive & we've fallen flat on our faces.
Carlisle were the worst at home. Means nothing

No they are not ! They have the 4th best away record and they have only took 4 more points away from home than Salford Or Crewe the teams sat in middle of the league 2 away win table are only 5 points off Grimsby and some will have played a away match less, also Port Vale have the 3rd best home record in league 2

We never seemed to lay a glove on them first half. They wanted it badly but we helped them with our sloppy passing and inability to keep hold of the ball.
Midfield was an Achilles heel. They were superior to us in the first half. Young Shorrock and Walter's had to be substituted, today was not their platform. Same again for me on Monday, their time will come.
Mitch MOM for me by some distance.
We go again. Let's do this!
Walters was notably the best of our 3 midfielders in the first half. Surprised he was subbed ahead of the other 2.

Thanks STID - thanks, thats put a more Hoppers like spin on the situation 🤣🤣👍👍💜💜💜

Just thinking, by abbreviating your screen name to initials, it reminds me of something I caught off Big Bertha from Kellys Place - ahhh, those were the days - 10 minutes fun followed by months of cream on me danglies 👍👍👍👍

This defence is worse than the last promotion team.

Smith and Hall proved they weren’t good enough and they are still in the team.

I have so wanted to see Vale win a league for the first time in my 62 years but it’s now looking doubtful.

Promotion would still be great but Vale are Vale and we all know what might happen but hopefully not.

I don't think it was anything to do with the defence. We had zero midfield for close on 50 mins. If you have zero midfield then the defence is constantly under pressure.

Bad day at the office.  Not on DM that one. Played the right starting line up and made changes early enough. Beaten by a better team on the day. Some poor performances but I’m not critical after the run we’ve had. Just one of those days.

still top. 3 games to go. You’d have taken it at the start if the season.

reaction Monday hopefully

I agree the players were bad, really bad, but leadership comes from the top and I wonder what DM said to the players before the game?

We know from the playoffs with Sheff Wed that he can do it but, on Monday, he has to put some serious lead into their pencils.

They looked so intimidated today that a repeat on Monday will be a disaster.

Time to put up or shut up.

What are you having a pop at me for? Carlisle did have the worst home record.

if players get stage fright there is nothing the manager or anybody else can do

Thankfully we don't get too long to linger on this performance, what matters now is how we react in several days time! does the vale team of last week turn up with their sleeves rolled up or do we submit and fade. honesty, I couldn't call it due to the nature of league two this season and the unpredictably of how this team handles the pressure at the top of the table at such a crucial time. A unique season to say the least!

Hope it is unique, it's been weirdly unenjoyable considering where we are...
