No money available for signings. Common theme with David Flitcroft he was shopping in the bargain bin. Laurent money pocketed along with Arsenal money, increased season tickets and shirt sales, Lessons not learnt, for sure we will hear the right target wasn’t available.

You actually believe all of the ballcocks you have just spouted there???

Es need a striker  maybe two. The one that has not had a chance (in his position is Paton). Never had a proper run, and wont now because pig headed Moore has let us get in the mire.

We certainly need a main striker that has shown with Curtis starting games there,For me it is totally wasting him.

I have also changed my mind set as well due to our lack of goals,I know we have plenty of midfielders but i would like to see us bring in a goalscoring midfielder if we can as well

Look at the facts. I await your apology when we don’t sign a forward.

I really hope league 1 Deja Vu doesn't descent on us.  Questions on recruitment so far and hopefully something happens within the next 24 hours.

I think that the finances of football are beyond some people. My guess is that we prob signed Brown because we could def get him and it offsets the risk of missing out on  permanent striker on deadline day, which is actually spending more money.  With all of the planning in the world for Tolaj leaving late transfer window striker signings are the most difficult and there's a very low chance of getting value for money. In Moores interview with Bowers yesterday it sounded like he really wants a clinical striker but its not easy and they are trying. If we dont get one its because its not been possible in the time, not because Carol is *pocketing* money. We have a massive squad already which won't be costing a pittance and we said last summer that we had done most of out league one signings a year early.

100%

We know what we are desperate for and so do the club(getting them is the hard part) but that money will still be there no matter what as will additional money

I agree with most of what’s being said on here i.e. we aren’t going to get a ‘star striker’. A club like ours can’t afford to gamble £1m away in the last couple of hours before the transfer window shuts and, ultimately, it won’t.

The best way forward will, therefore, be 3 up top. In my view, we pick one from either Stockley, Faal or Brown for the main striker role and these are then supported by inside forwards i.e. Rico, Curtis and, dare I say it, Waine etc.

But I prefer 3 in midfield to 3 CB’s as this is where we have an abundance of riches plus have strength in the FB/WB positions, whereas the CB options are more limited.

I literally cannot understand why Moore isn’t trying this and is completely wedded to 3 at the back.

I want to see Brown Stockley playing together., Brown looks quick tbh but we have many combinations but no look promising or productive

You mean a goal scoring midfielder like Garrity or even Richards?

Not signing a forward will not be down to lack of support and finances from our owners.

Said the same thing leaving the game yesterday.  We basically play with 5 defenders, 3 defensive minded midfielders and 2 strikers, we are expecting so much from the front 2 and if they don't score, other than Headley I don't see anyone else scoring.  We have to get another forward thinking player in the team, either attacking midfielder or we move to 4 at the back.  I would like to see a team of;

Gauci

Clarke Heneghan Humphreys Headley

Walters Croasdale Garrity (if fit or attack minded player signed tomorrow)

Rico (new striker) Curtis

Tomorrow is a massive day in the season for me, we have to get something done, we are not far away but 2 starting players need to be signed up to help us, these need to be ready to hit the ground running and straight into the team not players short of match fitness who will take a month to get up to speed.  This next month/6 weeks is massive before facing some of the more fancied teams in October/November/December.

Unfortunately I'm resound to the possibility no more incomings that's unless we see some outgoings. We have 6 supposedly / debatable strikers already in the building so we ain't seeing anymore added in that department I'm afraid, and fearing the worst.

Most people expected Tolaj to go, but when? Jan or summer 2026? Plymouth missed out on their targets and so came in late for Tolaj. The later in the window the more strikers cost, unless a seller is desperate to off-load. Moore has had Brown on his list for 3 windows as a striker, whether there is an opportunity to sign permanently who knows?
