Summer transfer rumours and speculation

Fans on the Plymouth forum seem pleased with Tolaj's hard work, have said he had no service and one said I bet he is wondering what he has walked into.

He shouldn't be wondering that. It was an easy decision after all.

If they keep playing him up top on his own then Plymouth are going to ruin his potential and he won't score as many goals.

Stockley plays 37 to 38 games most seasons. Very few players get through a whole season. This year he happens to have got his injury early doors. Brown broadly has a similar amount of experience in the EFL to Tolaj at the start of last season.

I don't care how much experience tolaj had at the beginning of last season we need to replace the player he was this season so that's irrelevant as regards stockley we will see I hope he does stay fit because he is our only recognised striker. Brown and Faal look like identikit young chancers strong but raw they may or may not come good after we put a lot of work in then they will go back to their clubs but they aren't what we need right now. Waine is getting worse if anything.

We started the season with a midfielder filling in up top and he is still there because we don't have anyone better to put there. Thats where we are.

I think 90 shots in 6 league games and only 2 goals tells the story

Over to DM and the recruitment team now to resolve it in the next couple of days

DM was really peed off in that post match interview - his final words were interesting - regarding the Tuesday game - he said that he’ll see what shape the squad is in - could be an innocent generic comment but from the tone attached to it implied that there’ll definitely be movement on Monday.

I personally think, even more so now, that we are going to see how transfer paid broken on Monday

On Graydon probably! Need a Langstaff or someone of that ilk.

Lincoln manager didn’t sound too confident of not losing Draper mind he said he can’t wait for the window to close basically as worried they’d lose some.

Wonder if Langstaff is injured.

Played first 3 games including scoring the winner at Norwich.

Not in the squad last 2 games.

They are on the verge of signing a striker for £4.3 million and signed striker Josh Coburn from Middlesbrough in the summer.

Maybe Langstaff days are numbered

I would have loved Tovide from Colchester as one to develop and an experienced Goalscorer. But with having Brown (Who looked decent), and Waine I can’t see that happening.

I know he’s only been here 5 minutes but I would loan Waine out to learn the game.

Rumour on the way down is Connor Hall is on his way out - that was before the team was announced.

I think it’s rubbish. He was clearly doing a what you would describe as a fitness test back in the day before today’s game.

We are desperate for CB, A midfielder who can break the lines and find a pass in the final 3rd and a ST with a bit of presence.

I think DM needs to ship few out who are struggling at this level.

Waine can not move again in the same transfer window

I think Sam Hart will leave and Ben Lomax will go out on loan but for me it will be interesting to see what we do with Shorrock as he hasn't made any of the matchday squad's apart from the League Cup games.

Shorrock played for the academy today against chesterfield.

And none of these players have had any minutes to know if quote 'struggling at this level' (I think all would for different reasons, but they are young and not senior players, except Hart).

The players to move on clearly refers to ones in the squad playing currently. It's delicate to work out the best players to move on. I'd actually be tempted to say return Faal to be quite honest. We might want to be a development club but we don't have the capacity for passengers, either.

Players like Shipley and Waine need to step up, unfortunately can't move either of these on. So that leaves you looking at people like Ojo/Byers, Curtis/Paton as players who could go and play somewhere else if we had replacements.

The only thing we don't have a restriction on is U21 classed players, but they are just going to be given a hard time by our fans most likely.
