Mansfield fans told us that Waine was nowhere near this level...if I can ascertain this from an online forum, then our recruitment team surely can?

You make some valid points and I agree with some but this made me spit my cornflakes this morning 😂😂

We should be able to bring someone in. Even if it is about of experience from an old head up front.

I've just listened to Matt Hancocks CEO update for the first time. Not sure whether his opinion will have changed much after yesterday, however he says the money is available but the club has a "good L1 squad" that can compete already and they are buzzing to have Dejaune. I get that it could be lip service to the current players, but it sounds ominous.

The more this goes on the less likely it feels we bring a striker in. It feels like we're going with what we have, unless an absolute bargain presents itself over the next few days. May God have mercy on our souls.

Alan Nixon saying we are still in for Dane Scarlett on loan as Tottenham now made him available though other clubs in L1 and also Championship are interested.

No money available for signings. Common theme with David Flitcroft he was shopping in the bargain bin. Laurent money pocketed along with Arsenal money, increased season tickets and shirt sales, Lessons not learnt, for sure we will hear the right target wasn’t available.

So we've little chance in reality.

Not sure a third striker on loan is really the answer and is quite damning for the recruitment team.
Id send Faal back, free up a bit more money as he is not the answer. Try to get a permanent signing and then a young kid that can score goals, they have to be out there like Lowe for Walsall last season.
As at now I think realistically we have Stockley that is good enough and he’s injury prone

We do need a proper striker.  We've got, what, five forwards?  Stockley, faal, waine, paton and brown (we would have had six with tolaj).  Top of my head that is and not including Curtis and rico as they're wide players.  So we're stocked, but I've only got faith that stockley would get anything like 10 goals for us.

That's a lot of strikers taking the budget up.

I have to say, I don't envy the club in this one.  The noises from Plymouth are that Tolaj was their fifth choice striker signing.  So they've failed to get four in on their budget.

I'm desperate for us to get someone in but getting it right must be horrendous.

Scarlett seems like the most solid link but even he hasn't got that record that makes you think yeah, he'll get us 15.

He'd be a risk same as any other signing.

The money going around and being demanded must be mental.

And for pretty mediocre players as well

Alan Nixon has a vale story / rumour being released tomorrow.

He's relatively accurate and an official press member.

It’s behind his patreon though and I’m unfortunately not subscribed.

Nixon releases teasers … the only one that could possibly relate to the Vale is.

Spurs look for Scarlett home
