I would give Rico a go, has the pace, Rhys, back 3 well they can sort that out.

Wing backs no idea?  Depends who is fit.

If Rhys plays, he will need a sitter midfielder. Garrity forward more, 2 up front.

Need to inject pace and width to the team.

The system we play we get caught out so much, from the other end of the pitch.

Hall likes to go forward, no issue with that, but it is if you have no pace to recover him doing that, like in a few games. (not just Hall)

Then Tolaj and Stockley.

Main thing is we start the next game with an interest, not like Tuesday waiting for a break.

Its not good enough for a team wanting promotion, to be honest we don’t look like a team wanting promotion

Here we go again 😆 and the rest of the top 7 are achieving those things ☝️ the table suggests otherwise mate 👀 I get your post, I agree with it all. But that last bit is getting a bit daft now

100%. By far our most energetic & creative forward thinking player. He makes things happen & it’s no coincidence we looked so much better when he got on the pitch

Only problem with Rico is that he looks his best when he comes on as a sub. Very few times has he started a game and looked dangerous throughout it.

Agreed. But he’s being brought on far too late in the game. Just think he deserves that start now because there’s a handful of others who aren’t at the races either & shouldn’t be starting

Obviously looks like he had one eye on Saturday.

Why ?

Take care of business last night and Crewe, Grimsby and Colchester are almost out of the equation 8 or 9 points behind.

Suddenly lose at Crewe and they all back in the mix.

Rank bad management. He's always advocated the here and now yet last night clearly went the opposite way with his tinkering.

I understand your view point but to me it’s right to have an eye on the next 3 games because they are all in a very short sequence. If you just keep playing your 11 they will go flat. I thought this was the game to change it up a little especially how poorly we played Saturday however the selection was poor, very poor.

What I don’t understand is why we setup with defenders to be in space against teams you are expected to have the ball against and should be attacking at home.

To me that’s rank bad management, watching what happened Saturday and doing more of the same.

Fair point. I think he should have been used in the home games when we know the opposition will sit deep. He offers a different alternative than the mindless lump forward towards Stockley that we specialise in.

I reckon 80 points will go up

A win last night would have put us on 67 and momentum of 3 consecutive wins.

I can't see 16 points from the last 8 games which are(in no order) Bradford,Bromley,Gillingham, Grimsby at home

Crewe,Walsall,Wimbledon,Carlisle away

It's the points we've dropped by being too negative that are costly, plus Barrow have done the double over us.

Chizzy has been bombed out by Moore and it's only when Garrity is involved does the team look as if it has leadership. This is all on Darren Bore and his awful tactics and reactive, not proactive, decision making

I wonder if there is a single person on here that would have gone with that starting 11. And I also wonder if there is a single person on here that is surprised by the result of playing that starting 11.

An absolutely mind boggling selection for a home game and last night's result is all on Moore. What on earth was he thinking that team would give him (other than defeat)?

Opportunity lost through our own poor decision making.

Spot on. Then think about the players - would any of them have picked that side for such a pivotal game? Were any of them expecting it to work?

I doubt it and I guess that as they took the pitch with better players off it than on it they had little or no expectation of a decent outcome. To me, that goes a long way to explaining such a depressingly poor first half display - until Moore changed it to what it should have been.

But too late, the damage was done.

It’s the approach I’m referring to.

We are not positive enough in our play at home and don’t score enough goals to be a promotion team.

We are still playing football at home trying not loose 1st. That is not a team going for promotion.

The irony of this comment isn’t lost on me but the cohort on here who after a win can’t wait to pontificate about what they perceive to be OVF negativity are conspicuous in their absence.

A thing you’ve referred to most of the season & I’m not disagreeing. Moore took a big risk last night & it massively back fired. I can’t see him taking the opposition lightly on Saturday.
