Wins are everything now. I remember in the Micky Adams promotion season, we beat Burton 7-1 on Good Friday giving us I think around a 12 point gap from them with 7 games to go. We drew all 7 games so remained unbeaten to end of season. They I believe won 6 out of 7 games and at the end I think we got promoted by 1 point. We said one more game and we would have not been promoted. This is the concern with our draws. I'd rather win 3 out of 7 than draw 7 for obvious reasons. The wins need to start rolling in to get automatic promotion.... Starting with MK Dons

Top song

I’m not sure the 11 is that relevant under Moore. I’ve seen selections that I thought were great and others poor, and we always play the same regardless. For me it’s about us pressing high up the pitch and playing with some intensity.

These have some very good players but are majorly struggling. 3 points is a must today. Id hope Byers can come back in and maybe a rest for Croasdale would be warranted here.

Lovely day, weirdly looking forward to it.

Nice attacking line up and resounding win please 🙏.

593 makes a great point. Regardless of personnel we tend to play in the same style. We sit off and then build from deep. We very rarely win the ball high up the pitch. The likes of Tolaj, Rico, Chislett, and Curtis would all thrive in 1v1s but every time they get the ball they're faced up by a bank of defenders because we gained possession so deep within our half.

I just want to see us break our defensive structure and press high. Maybe today isn't the day for it as MK will be possession-obsessed, but it would be lovely for Moore to throw caution to the wind and tell players to break their shape to harry the opposition.

I think we have the quality of player where it will make wins far more likely and in our control, as opposed to making it a game of chess in which two deep blocks sit off each other and dare the other side to break them down - leading to ponderous CB-CB passing. It's a bit sad that John Askey, perhaps the most dull of managers, managed to coach a much cheaper side into an effective high-press that had a pretty poor squad punching well above its weight.

I think regardless of the formation it’s irrelevant if there isn’t a bit more movement off the ball. Tuesday night wasn’t a disastrous performance or anything like that in retrospect but it was notable just how static we were at times in possession. I did get frustrated with Smith and Hall in particular for the sideways and backwards stuff but also in fairness they weren’t being helped by their teammates.

I’m making the assumption Garrity won’t be ready to go for this one so I’m going Byers and Walters in the middle then the onus on Rico to roam free into space.

We’ll see some pressing and early chances today. 2-0 comfortable win and  a platform for getting back to the top 3.

Where’s that lad we signed off Wolves? Got be up there with one of the most pointless signings going

I suppose it depends on the reasoning. I would guess Wolves are paying his wages, and he is here to train and work with a 1st team squad. He may get a chance in the last couple of games depending on the situation. He could be here to assess him for the future as he builds up his strength as either a permanent signing or another loan.

I haven’t analysed the other team’s fixtures, but surely it is in our hands. Our fixtures could hardly be better. It’s still on.

I think I saw that we have the 7th easiest run in, if you work out the points-per-game of our opponents. No side in the top 9 has an easier run of fixtures.

Colchester have the toughest, Crewe the 2nd toughest, County the 4th toughest, Doncaster the 5th toughest, Bradford the 7th toughest, and Walsall the 9th toughest.

COME ON THE MIGHTY VALE. Lets kick start this promotion run in. Genuinely believe three points is vital with it being the first of 3 home games. 3 points today going into the next 2 with confidence.

I can handle not winning today if we at least give it a go. Obviously this stage of the season is about results rather than performances. But it’s very disappointing leaving games you’ve lost or drawn when you know we’ve not tried our best. If we fail to get promotion but have a go that’s one thing, it’s another if we meekly play out draws every week.

Breakfast in spoons in Aberystwyth.🍺.. Goooooarn you cheeky whites,it's the business end of the season so now it's time you showed your true colors.. UTV VTID
