Port Vale v MK Dons match thread- Mar 15th

Featured Replies

What frustrates me is that a wing back system can work with the right players but unfortuately we haven't got them.

Saw Blackburn against Stoke and although they lost they moved the ball out from the back very fast and didn't give defenses time to settle.

We are so slow bringing it out that opp's are fixed and ready for anything to come forward.

Deb's is so afraid to go forward that it's a lost channel; Smudge just isn't skillful enough to take on the ball and Hall is ok but the midfield have to work to get the shapes right.

We should drop to a 4-4-2 and by pass this knocking it around at the back to it hampers us.

Not sure if he is ready but i wouldn't mind seeing Stockley and Tolaj as the two up top with Curtis or Chislett sitting just behind. I can see Sang coming in for Debrah and it would be nice if Garrity could make the bench

My sentiments exactly.

If Garrity is fit enough then he has to play.  He is our talismanic leader and most influential player.  You can see his contribution from the results with/without him so far this season.

I wouldn't mind seeing Stockley starting, even if he's only good for 60 minutes.  I'd rather see him get replaced by fresh legs with us in the lead, rather than coming on with 30 mins left with us level or losing.

Suddenly? He went out on loan 2 months ago to Weymouth.

He played 45 mins at Salford, scored, and then we didn't see him again for four months.

Got a feeling Garrity starts tomorrow.

With these being more footballing I'd bring Sang in for Debrah and have a footballing outlet.

I dunner know what Darren's going to do

Garrity defo makes the bench in my opinion because it gives the team and fans a massive confidence boost , come on Darren go for it on sat , in for a penny in for a pound , Get into the opposition from the get go , Come on Vale

Can't risk Garrity from the start he needs to be eased back in to the fold we conner afford for him to break down again

I did say if he's fit.  Neither of us know the extent or nature of the injury, only that he is back in training.

If he's fit he needs to play.  If he doesn't have 45 mins in him there probably isn't much point in having him on the bench.

If he's got 45 mins in him I'd probably opt for the 1st 45 for the same reasons I gave for Stockley.  I'd rather start with our strongest side and try and get into a winning position, rather than bring players on later in the game when we are chasing things.

He's only just come back to full training

So you think it's a good idea to throw him.sttaight in and run the risk he breaks down again then what ?  Stick him on the bench to boost the fans and players morale, We need Garrity firing on all cylinders from now until the end of the season it's bat sh#t crazy to risk throwing him in straight away
