I’d tend to agree with this, also the prize money at this stage is not to be sniffed at.

Just not sure when football as a sport became terrified of injuries and ‘load’.

Theres a few cases to consider where they’re just back from injury, but otherwise let the footballers play football. They enjoy it!

Probably not the conventional thing to do but I wouldn’t ring the changes here.

We might have found a workable team. Let them play together. Forget this ‘load management’ nonsense. Winning teams don’t drop anyone - look at Walsall.

I’d rest our two most important players (Garrity and Tolaj), and maybe Clark, but otherwise play the same team again, pretty much:

Amos

Smith Heneghan Hall

John Richards Lowe Croasdale Headley

Hackford Paton

Get those connections forming and get confidence into them. We simply haven’t done that this season. Sometimes doing nothing is better than doing something.

I'd agree with this apart from, as VTID New has said, rest Croasdale

It depends where the returning players are at really, we need to get them match fit so does that lend itself potentially to getting an hour into Stockley, Harper, Byers? Would you play Lowe in this if he is to play at the weekend?

Garrity assuming just an impact injury yesterday I wouldn’t risk certainly nor Croasdale who could do with a break.

Goalkeeper will be interesting. Do you go with Ripley as currently he is number 2? You can’t really drop Amos for Saturday with two great saves getting us 3 points the last two games can you?

Ripley

Debrah

Smith

Hart

Back five and see who is available or needs minutes in the bank.

Stick with Amos.  Message to Rippers (who I am a fan of) that you need to give 100% and not give up on balls, like he did the other game, just oh well I messed that up and watch them score.

Does DM and Co go with the same team as yesterday - I would hope so, as they seemed to play well as a team.

I would expect Patton, Shorrock, Chislett, Curtis, Diamond and Richards to play at least some part. No idea where Byers or Harper are in terms of fitness; they could play 45 minutes each. Sang can play and Lomax would be available despite being out on loan. They could also play Plant if he's recovered from his recent injury.

Can’t see any of the lads being on loan being recalled for it. We have more than enough depth to be doing that. Moore has gone relatively strong so far in this competition & I don’t see that changing. It’s money in the bank, a chance to rest a few & a step closer to Wembley with a win.

I personally feel we need to treat this like the FA Cup 3rd round tie we didn’t have. From what I have seen, with the size of this squad and the amount of rotation that has gone on, not too many can be that tired. I say go full strength for the money and continuity.

Unfortunately the club are not treating it like a cup game - they are giving Wrexham the back of the Bycars where it is sheltered and giving home fans only the Lorne street where it pisses in if its raining . Why oh why cant the club give the away team the lorne street and the Home fans the Hamil . No difference in "open Stands" so no extra costs involved . As a home fan I would attend if there was a chance of being under a stand, rather than sitting in an overly open terrace with a roof that is 30ft too high and lets the bad weather in. Oh,  for those who say you cant move home fans ..... piss off !!!   I got moved from the Bycars several times in FA cup games so its not too much to ask others to do the same once in a while.

You don't need to recall loans from National League Clubs, they remain eligible to play in this competition without affecting their loan. Lomax still trains with us most days as Peterborough Sports are one of the few part-time clubs left in The National Leagues and only train once or twice a week.  It's a little different for Plant; Yeovil are full-time.

I didn’t mean recalled to stay, I was on about just for this game. I think it’s highly unlikely that will happen. Soon find out anyway mate 👍🏻

We will. I think Wexham may put out a strong side as they aren't playing the weekend.  Regardless (unless you are close to Wembley) I only really view this competition as one to develop younger players.

3-5-2: Ripley; Sang, Debrah, Hart; John, Chislett, Croasdale, Grant, Headley; Stockley, Paton

Because overloading leads to fatigue, potential injuries and a potential drop in performance. All that data is measured through their GPS trackers that they wear. Hence why we now have bigger squads because why risk a player getting injured?

I assume you are trying to blow up Croasdale’s engine 🥴

No way Croasdale should play for me. Go with Lowe or Chislett or something. Bloke needs a rest.
