Port Vale v Wrexham match thread - 4th Feb (formerly 7th Jan)

Featured Replies

I’d make as many changes as possible and ensure the likes of Byers, Clarke and Garrity play zero minutes. I don’t want our best players picking up needless injuries. Big squad, let’s use it, play the younger players. Just please no risking our key players again

When did we move home fans from the Bycars for an FA Cup game?

Off the top of me head LINCOLN - I think we were moved about 3 times over about 5 seasons.

The Lorne Street is our "main" stand, where all the reception and hospitality areas are. Home fans tend to use those more than away fans. It's impractical to close it to home fans.

I'm not suggesting the whole of the Lorne Street stand just the wet bit underneath all the boxes and the corporate stuff - that could still be used by home fans -  You do not need to use the same entrances to access the Corporate stuff that  you use to get into the wet bit of Lorne Street.  Some of the boxes though are sometimes used by away fans.   I used to use that for mickey mouse cup matches but got <ovf censored>'d off with getting wet whenever the weather was not good .

If on

   I'd go

   Ripley

John Debrah Hart

Bbb(Diamond) Cover Sang Chislett Curtis

    Paton Hackford

If Sang not eligible I'd be tempted play Rico Richards in centre with Cover and Chislett ,all can run forwards with ball and should have energy run back

If Byers Stockley or Harper back obviously start with them 3 let's see how much of a better player Harper will be by Byers .

He will probably give the 3 lads at back yesterday the  night off or maybe he won't.

We will see if game goes ahead

3 -1 Vale Paton BBB with  the other 2 as he dances past everyone including the goalkeeper as he weaves his magic to leave McLean if he plays crying in his boots .

Sang is still banned, eligible again v Barrow. I think BBC is still at his parent club getting treatment for his injury.

I'm 99% certain league suspensions don't count in this competition and vice-versa suspensions from this competition don't carry to league games.

Sangy can play in this one. It was a 3 game ban, Grimsby, Cheltenham & Donny so he’s served it now mate

True, fair points. It was a game that many doubted would be on still. Get it on 😆

Yep the pitch might be OK.  But the area around the ground will be too dangerous.
