Could be the end for Clark if another bad one. It’s a shame as he’s a great player but never fit.
Tonight just confirmed what I already knew. The likes of Deborah, Lowe, hennegan and Hart are <ovf censored> and not at league 2 level. Shorrock needs a loan move unless we stop picking him at LWB.

Not bothered about the result. I agree with the starting 11 but I have no idea why Moore then decided to bring Tolaj on towards the end. Today has confirmed why I’m slightly worried with the window. If smith or hall are missing were left with someone like hart or Deborah coming into the starting 11 and we will not win games. The decision to send cover back felt odd at the time and might come back to haunt us.

Heneghan is fine for me as he’s useful when we know we are going to be up against it due to his aerial dominance. The others I agree with though. Debrah is awful.

Oh dear that was underwhelming. Too many strollers in our team, not shown the manager any reason to pick them at the weekend. Only one anywhere near was Curtis. Hoping Amos doesn't pick up an injury as Broome looks like we've stuck a ball boy between the posts

Yeah that’s true, just worries me with his complete lack of pace. I do worry if we pick up an injury though, can’t face seeing Deborah or Hart playing Cb in a league match again

Largely the Grimsby debacle back line which got dropped and it was evident why tonight. Shorrock isn’t a defender, at fault for the 2nd and 3rd and is more a winger I would say, Hart seems to get worse each time I see him at the moment and Debrah is miles off it currently.

Why did he play Clark? Have we contested Sangs red card and won?

Because he doesn't want a fit first team player going 3 or 4 weeks without a game.

(Same for Sang,)

Shocking from Hart. For the 4th goal the eventual scorer strolls past and he just watches. Not for the first time this season. I expect he'll be shown the door at the end of the season.

Depends what Darren wants to do 😲

Well nothing say about that game good good play first half mostly involving Curtis but overall we were as flat footed as especially young Shorrock who was appalling mind you so were others

Doesn't matter though in the grand scheme of things better out of it as certainly not interested in winning it with tonight's lame efforts

It was so poor second half giving free shots away not following there players in so they have easy finishes it was embarrassingly poor.

One to forget no wonderonly 1200 Vale fans could be bothered go thank goodness i decided not bother it was abject .

Clear to see why Debra, Hart and Henegan aren’t in the squad. Really poor work from Debra. He’s clearly missing Ripley as he’s got no one to pass to anymore. Take the cash…early night for the first team. Pint down Tommy Cheadles and off to Swindle.
And a quick May Street stop if it's open

I get where your coming from but Henegahn is good at what he does and his passing is decent.

RWB is John and Sang backup so still should be enough.

The other squad players are 20 minute subs which Curtis,Rico,Harper ans Hackford.

I prefer to think the Manager has deliberately thrown this game away to conserve his team for our priority, which is getting promoted. Who cares what the scoreline was tonight?

Time will tell

Isn’t Clark available for Saturday?

Looking at Saturday if we don’t get the red overturned I’m guessing we have to go:

John Smith henneghan Hall Headley

Thats fine but one injury there and we’re straight into a choice of Deborah or Hart. I think we should have brought someone in at the back or kept cover. Henneghan is useful in some games and not others, depending on the opposition, for me we’re short a decent Cb as cover

Head on a stick.

Legs in treacle.

I'm not sure how many defenders folk expect us to carry, but we can't just sign infinite players to avoid any sort of availability issues ever.

If any team in the 4th division had one defender suspended for a laughable red card, and another one injured, they'd probably have no more than the two back-ups we've got and certainly of no better quality.

That's not me defending Debrah and Hart (although I think we're quick to forget Debrah's form when we were winning every week), but I genuinely don't know how many decent defenders we can expect to carry without some of them getting cheesed off at lack of minutes. We can't just sign a load of centre halves on the basis that they'll play in an injury crisis. We've just had to sell a keeper because he started blarting the second he wasn't playing.

Wouldn’t have been available until after Notts County.
