Are we expecting too much to expect promotion. We made something like 17 signings and changed the majority of the squad. The players look good on paper but they need time to settle in and adapt. I think we are a victim of hitting the top spot too early as this team needs time to settle and adapt as they still look like a team of strangers. 17 signings is a complete rebuild so I know it would be disappointing saying this but if we finished 10th in a consolidation season it wouldn't be a bad effort. Next summer hopefully then we wouldn't need make many signings and the squad then will have a good relationship and know each others game and finish top 3.

If we didn't have the midfield crisis we still be top .

The quicker we haven't got a midfielder injury crisis the better .

I agree with most of this. Big overhaul in the summer. Moore has however, with his over tinkering, created the perfect storm. The new players that came in came with confidence of success where they had been and/or the freshness of   signing for a new club. That’s now been driven out of them so we are left with a group of players who are still unfamiliar on the pitch and bang out of form.

We can all see we need a settled side but we won’t get one now because we are shuffling a the pack to try and find a winning side.

Moore has to answer a few questions and fast. Only issue is I’m not sure he has the brains to do it. Anyone who plays Sang as a left back when the lad so right footed needs to check themselves in for some therapy.

For what it’s worth today we should be 4231

amos

clarke or John

smith

henegan or hall

hart

crosdale

cover (garrity or Byers)

richards

tolaj

curtis

paton or Stockley

Ripley needs dropping for what can only be described as a kamikaze couple of games. And Debs needs some time to think if he wants to be a footballer in the league cause at present he is way off imo.

We need a settled side, you have poorer sides looking far more fluid and it’s no surprise with the changes we make every game.

I would also players in their best position which is most baffling, we have all this squad yet often pick a player out of position than a natural one and I don’t get that.

Need to start Curtis really he tore these up when he came on last month.

Agree with most of this but Moore insists on 3 CBs and 2 wing backs. He's complaining about injuries in MF but Richards and Cover can play there.

Moore's tactics have ruined Chizzy and Curtis looks useless.

Two 20 goal last season strikers, who get minutes here and there. Moore's tactics are awful, yet we are still up near the top.

Hopefully a win today

Hiya,I don't know you at all but from reading your posts I can see that you are a passionate Vale fan who seems to take it all to heart and you obviously care about the club. It's a sad indictment of the current set up that folks like yourself don't feel like attending but I tend to think that football,as life,is swings and roundabouts... stick with it through thick and thin, enjoy the good, tolerate the disappointments when they happen. We don't just support the team,we support the owners and also our fellow fans. Voices missing make a huge difference, even if we may not get to see what we'd like to.... you and us belong at the Park,it's our club. Anyway, have a think and excuse me for sticking my big nose in, take care mate, whatever you choose to do, cheers.👍

Thanks mate I appreciate that. I’ll be back it’s in my blood & all I know, just need a break from it at the moment pal. Hoping for 3 points today enjoy the game 👍🏻

Tolaj simply has to get a run as the number 9. We've invested too much and he's got too much potential to write him off after faffing him about on the wing.

His first touch is poor but that won't matter if he's playing off the last defender and occupying the centre halves with his strength and pace.

He tucks it in superbly at times, just very up & down but that will be a lot to do with confidence or lack of as well. As you say he needs to be playing more

Over rotation and tinkering , you've nailed it.  No manager should ever ever changed a winning team ( except injuries,). That's one of the golden rules of football management. Wait until you see today's " tinkering and over rotation" line up coming shortly 🥴😞

That’s more like it! Welcome back captain 💙

Ben Garrity is back 😃 Happy new year!

Right decision start Amos too, not to say Ripleys time won’t come again but he’s been allowed a lot more grace than others in the team get.

Great to see garrity back

Fair play to Moore for not messing about and dropping those that need it.

Good to see Tolaj back in the side too
