Cant knock the starting line up. No excuses for the players today

And if we play well and win, he needs to keep the exact same 11 for the following game, injuries permitting. Let's get a bit of consistency and cohesion.

By starting him after not making the bench for 5 games, to then haul him off, drop out the squad for another few games then straight back into the starting 11? That’s not how you manage a young lad.

I think you are wrong about that. You are using emotive language like hauling him off but that isn't whats happening. Both games he brought him off early in he was being physically dominated by a stronger player. I am confident that DM and his team know more about developing young players than you or I.

This looks like a good first 11 today. Amos is not as good shot stopper as Ripley but has much better distribution

and Garrity back….wooo

Shorrock excluded from the a squad again. Literally starts him, hauls him off then leaves him out the squad completely then selects him to start again. Bonkers.

John should be starting every game if fit so glad he’s on. Fitness of Garrity will clearly be an issue

Delighted Smith is back in. Should be starting every single game. Deborah is hopeless, good decision there, shame it’s taken half a season.

Same with Ripley, too many errors.

Starting 11 is decent, still don’t think the 5 is required and Henneghan shouldn’t be playing but at least some decent personnel changes. I still think we will be quite conservative

Why should Smith be starting every game?

First goal is massive today. Our confidence is obviously rock bottom. But if we get it we might just suddenly remember that we were a very solid team for this league not too long ago.

You are not wrong there we haven't won a game that we have gone behind in yet so if we concede first our confidence drops.

Positives for me. Amos,Smith,Garrity and Tolaj.

Shot on target within 2 minutes. New year new Vale. Decent breakaway.

Looking more lively in the early stages than we have for ages!

So much better, at least feels a bit more intensity to us. Unlucky Tolaj.

Jeez we are playing football keep it up lads

This is better.  Good team move and nicely linked-up play.

Nonsense.

One thing on which you cannot fault Darren Moore is his care for his players.

Yep , he dunner play half of them 👍

I think you have a fairly commonplace adolescent condition - the feeling that you know everything about everything based on the fact that you have never actually done anything serious, anything which requires knowledge and intelligence and hard work.

I think port vale just need to let go of the chains. Go out there and express themselves. Get the forwards playing a bit more on the limit and not worrying if they get caught offside. It's about scoring goals and entertaining the fan's. Hopefully, with Vale being the valiant winner's.

Because he’s a better defender than Deborah and Henneghan. By a long way. Last time we were promoted he was alongside Hall
