Really sorry to hear he’s left but have to say had we been at their place in the same circumstances we’d have sung the same.  That’s not to say it’s right, but it’s certainly not unusual.

See that you are showing off your true colours. Disgrace

Yesterday was a day when the weather throws normal line ups and tactics out the window. Hindsight and all that, but Heneghan, Stockley etc. should have started. Play two simple banks of four with no big pumps forward. The ball was stopping midair and literally turning around to go back. The approach was all wrong.

Some of the comments on here are evidence of the point I'm making in the atmosphere thread. Entitled bunch of fans that think they're coming to watch Liverpool steam roll the league. We've lost 4 all season. At this point in the season, that's promotion form. Calling for the manager to go after our 1st defeat at home since August. It was still the 6 week holidays for gods sake.

Let Walsall have their moment, getting top of the league is the easy part, staying there is the hard bit. We managed it for 2 months, 8 matches since we beat MK to go top. That's bloody good going.

We have a decent squad, top top players coming back from injury, and January around the corner when I think we'll strengthen. The next few games are big opportunities to get back to winning ways. I wouldn't be surprised if we're top again early in the new year if not before. Walsall's game in hand is irrelevant, it's not even been arranged yet, could be months away.

Keep the faith, stop moaning and start getting behind the team. How many of us have seen Vale win the league in our lifetime? We have a part to play, sing your hearts out ffs.

Love this post. We do need a bit of perspective here. I agree Moore's style of football is stifling at the moment but without Byers and Garrity we've had to make do in midfield with holding players rather than forward thinking ones.

We've also had players out of form - Tolaj looked devastating earlier in the season, but now a shadow of that, but he's come from the National League, so he's not going to be 5 star all season. Same for Paton who has come from a markedly lower standard than League Two. Cover is going to have dips in form as all young players do, same for Shorrock, even Debrah who is only in his second full season in League football.

The last two times we've been relegated to this level, we've then had poor seasons, firstly under Sinnott and then Glover, then under Brown. This time we've been top of the league for two months and won more games than we've lost.

There's a lot of reactionary bile out there from the usual suspects who want us to win every game so they can laud it over their mates at work or down the pub, or want to troll other posters to get a reaction.

Have a bit of perspective and realise we're not going to steamroll everyone in this league, but we'll more than likely get promoted this year.

And talking of the usual suspects, here's one. You've come out from under the floorboards now we've lost have you?Screenshot_20241208_123735_Opera.thumb.jpg.0a5a6280838fb5112acc28d3e7b7f24c.jpg

Not for one minute epecting to turn up and watch Vale steam roll teams and I am sure 99% of Vale fans are of the same opinion, football does not work like that.  What I do expect is to see an expensively assembled side by league 2 standards to take games to the opposition instead of a safety first approach.  I get teams like Harrogate, Acrrington, Bromley etc setting up to grind a result out but not a team like us.  I get we have had injuries but so have lots of other teams and we will have many more between now and the end of the season, this is the modern game where players are out for longer than ever before and pick up more injuries than years ago.  What I want to see next week is starting on the front foot, pressing and playing with actual strikers and not having 3 on the bench and one no where to be seen.  I know away from home he is a luxury and Bromley not an ideal place but love to see Benicio given a run of games, someone who will run at teams, for me not being used enough.

Once again, you're basing your opinion one one game - today- played in dreadful conditions. Just check the stats - goals scored, goals conceded, XG. Read it and weep.

At least we didn't kick the ball out of play unchallenged, several times. I only need to read your own fans comments to know reality 👍🏻

We're much more than one player. We're a team, missing a few key players today ourselves, with supportive fans. A far cry from your disassociated rabble.

You still on here .

Ripley won the game for you .

Is DM a Walsall fan that's the question I'm.asking this morning .

I think you should send him a Xmas card as playing with no strikers for 60 mins helped you win game .

Vale will finish above you

I'll see you and your fans at Bescot when it be our turn take 2200 and this time hopefully the real Vale turn up not the fake ones yesterday.

I think Moore formed an opinion of Benicio after the Accrington game that he couldn't be used in certain matches. He said as much in his post match interviews. When we were playing a 4-2-3-1 earlier in the season he was great off the right wing, but after that Accrington game, he reverted to the 3-4-3 that we've used since, and I don't think that gets the best out of Benicio.

Very poor goal keeping and no attacking threat whatsoever; this manager hasn’t got a clue

No clue but got us to the top of the league? I agree we've been poor recently but this smacks of an agenda against Moore rather than based in balanced opinion

Very harsh to insinuate or accuse players of lacking effort today. They did apply themselves but yet again we had too many passengers in the team combined with poor tactics.

What is a little concerning is the number of players who have stopped showing for the ball and as a team we aren’t trusting ourselves with the quick pass, we take an extra touch and choose the safe option to avoid a mistake.

I don’t think our tactics is helping the home atmosphere. We have essentially played like an away team since we lost Byers and Garrity from the midfield.

Mate , The manager had set the team up to get nick a goal or grind out a draw it's not great is it , we're the home show some ambition and stick Paton and stockley in there to attack the opposition picking Hackford and Richards in them conditions when we needed someone up top to hold the ball up and be a nuisance was criminal imo , The gaffer has got the team selection wrong the last 3 or 4 games now # He's being way to cautious and it's costing us at the moment

1 point out of 6 against our biggest rivals at this level, who are also right at the top with us.

As league leaders we kind of expected a little more, unsurprisingly. Thats why the criticism and debate comes in to play. Negative or otherwise.

Literally has nothing to do with being 'self entitled'

Oh come on dunner make excuses the defeat is on the manager picking an ultra cautious team , imo # we are the home side we should be going for the oppositions throats not sitting back and hoping for the best # The fans deserve batter
