1 point out of 6 against our biggest rivals at this level, who are also right at the top with us.

As league leaders we kind of expected a little more, unsurprisingly. Thats why the criticism and debate comes in to play. Negative or otherwise.

Literally has nothing to do with being 'self entitled'

Yep it's to do with the manager picking a team that's  ultra cautious this has happened now the last few games and it needs to stop # DM get a grip and fast 🙄👍

I'm going have to contact vale to tell them stop sellinge tickets and block my season ticket. I've had to ring Samaritans tonight as basically I've had enough with life in general I fell out with somebody on here the other week and I fell out with jean Jackson on here earlier in the year for basically nothing. I've had abuse off vale fans and Walsall fans online today and that's sent me over the edge so I'm not going go vale anymore as I can't take losing especially if other things like family problems people abusing me online are going on aswell. Some of the abuse I've had is probably justified but Alex Stevenson I can't stand the guy. He's basically made me not want go anymore.

Don't let people grind you down mate you're only putting you're point of view across at the end of the day, take no notice of the people who can't handle home truths  # keep the faith my friend 👍 # UTV

Maybe I’m asking for a bit too much with 2 strikers after going without any yesterday 😂

You're The Gaffers biggest fan aren't you 👍

Mate, most of us wanted DC gone. He was an arrogant disgrace. If you don't know the history between both sides, going back 40+ years, then I'm guessing you're a young 'un.

DC is one of the best The Vale have had along with Rudgey and Micky Adams# Go give your head a wobble you numpty DC is a class act and always will be to us Valiants

Byers will make a big difference in us keeping the ball better u could see it yesterday

Yep but we shouldn't be relying on one player to keep hold of the ball in midfield

Oh come on dunner make excuses the defeat is on the manager picking an ultra cautious team , imo # we are the home side we should be going for the oppositions throats not sitting back and hoping for the best # The fans deserve batter

I did when I got home, had fish and chips Squire. 😜👌

For all the plaudits Walsall are getting, they just came to our patch and set up for a 1 nil, and got it. It comes off you're buzzing, it doesn't, you're the worst manager in the world and need to be sacked. I think Moore got it wrong yesterday and deserves a bit of criticism, but some saying get rid? Football fans are fickle, some absolutely pathetic. Who'd be a football manager? Falls our way v Chesterfield, MK and Notts and Moore's a legend.

Think some time away from this cess pit is needed again. Look forward to seeing a few of the posters on here in May. Will be very interesting.

Very poor goal keeping and no attacking threat whatsoever; this manager hasn’t got a clue

A good squad for L2 level assembled and 2nd in the league suggests otherwise.

We are going though a bad patch.

So were you a couple of weeks ago singing Darren’s black & white army you little creep! Yes I’ll back him as much as possible but at the same time I have no issues saying we’ve been poor recently. You change your mind more times than you change your pants nappy stain. Bore off

Mate , The manager had set the team up to get nick a goal or grind out a draw it's not great is it , we're the home show some ambition and stick Paton and stockley in there to attack the opposition picking Hackford and Richards in them conditions when we needed someone up top to hold the ball up and be a nuisance was criminal imo , The gaffer has got the team selection wrong the last 3 or 4 games now # He's being way to cautious and it's costing us at the moment

I don’t disagree about caution at home. Tactics need to be looked at to be serious about top 3  but that doesn’t mean lack of effort or passion from the players.

I understand frustration I really do. But we don't have a divine right.

We can't just go gung-ho, look how that went at Barrow.

Doncaster have drawn at Carlisle and were held at home yesterday by Cheltenham in their last two games.

I wonder if their forum is as toxic.

I tell a lie, they won at Fleetwood in the week. Like ourselves they've one win since October 26th.

Crewe have drawn their last 3.

Walsall will have a similar run , guaranteed.

I thought they were really good without the ball and the reason we spent so much time faffing about with it between the centre halves wasn't through design, but because their shape was good and organised. They didn't press high until after they scored, but sat off and congested the middle. Second half they went more aggressive and pinned us.

There was nothing on, but we couldn't go long due to the conditions, hence Debrah passing to Hall. I don't for a second think that was the plan.

A well-coached, young team. They weren't brilliant but no one was going to be yesterday.

Disagree it was Walsall who prevented us from playing. We created our own problems with poor CB play and midfielders not showing for the ball.

Some of the comments on here are evidence of the point I'm making in the atmosphere thread. Entitled bunch of fans that think they're coming to watch Liverpool steam roll the league. We've lost 4 all season. At this point in the season, that's promotion form. Calling for the manager to go after our 1st defeat at home since August. It was still the 6 week holidays for gods sake.

Let Walsall have their moment, getting top of the league is the easy part, staying there is the hard bit. We managed it for 2 months, 8 matches since we beat MK to go top. That's bloody good going.

We have a decent squad, top top players coming back from injury, and January around the corner when I think we'll strengthen. The next few games are big opportunities to get back to winning ways. I wouldn't be surprised if we're top again early in the new year if not before. Walsall's game in hand is irrelevant, it's not even been arranged yet, could be months away.

Keep the faith, stop moaning and start getting behind the team. How many of us have seen Vale win the league in our lifetime? We have a part to play, sing your hearts out ffs.

I agree with everything you said mate but I will also add it’s the manager and  players responsibility to get the crowd going by getting after the opposition rather than sitting in and trying not to make a mistake. That’s a good tactic away but at home it’s not good enough to get promoted.

DM keeps talking about making VP a fortress, well the players have to start playing like that and give the opposition something to fear.

Someone's getting there pants in a twist 😲😆

I'll give out the plaudits when it's warranted and I'll be critical if I feel the team and the manager have let the fans down # That's life
