Possibly depending on just how dull.

Would you be prepared to watch dull, negative football if we were 14th?

If it's dull, negative football, it has to be winning football to be tolerated. So far, it's dull, negative 18% winning football. In other words,  dull, negative 82% not winning football!

Hence a patient, good-natured, tolerant, level-headed, polite fan like me is losing patience!

Carol has backed DM in the transfer market this summer, so Darren, prove you've got what it takes to manage our club, and do it quickly!

We all want you to succeed, so be courageous enough to give it a good go! If we look at league form this season, it's a 33%win ratio with three games gone. If we pick up four more wins in the next seven league games, the vast majority of us will be happy.

We all go to VP to support a team we want to be proud of. We want to see the attacking players ripping other teams to bits on a Saturday afternoon and teams genuinely intimidated by the thought of a trip to Vale Park.

The fans, we do our bit, so pull your fingers out and set about other teams for 90+ minutes, score some goals, get us out of our seats and make us proud!

We are Vale! No-one likes us! (Apart from Barrow, obviously!)

End of October I'll give you until. Like I said above, I'm a very patient bloke!

UTV!

I didn't say I would or wouldn't but if we tightened up which I thought we were going to do this season then scrapping a few games 1 nil and boring the life out of me for a short term yes. I can't remember the last time we had a solid win at Vale Park..Was it Blackpool last Christmas? it's a fine balance we had attcking players on at Barrow going for it and that ended well.

Isn't being brave, abandoning the back 5 for a back 4, going for it, and chucking caution to the wind exactly what we did at Barrow and promptly shipped three goals, and everyone was absolutely fuming with it?

You don't need to have NASA level IQ to realise that setting up a team to be positive and on the front foot somewhat to start a match isn't the same as chasing a game and going for broke by making poor substitutions and changing formation in-game. Or are you actually saying that we simply can't play 4 at the back against the likes of the mighty Barrow FC?

Barrow could be taken as a "one-off" or a "blip" if it was. Sadly, DM now has 13 defeats out of 22 games. That's a 59% losing record.

Doncaster on Saturday is DMs 23rd game in charge and he has a chance to record his fourth league win (and fifth win including the cup game at Salford)

There is pressure on the manager to get results! He's spent a lot of Port Vale's money this summer.

Doncaster will be in the mix come May ( they may win L2) , and I expect Vale to have an even tougher time of it than against Barrow. 1-1 it is then.

Well, this is the first game this season that I can't attend due to kick off times being moved, I do youth sports coaching in the mornings so can only make 3pm kick offs...

9.30pm kick off instead of midnight. Excellent move by Sky.....for about 7 Vale fans.

my brother in Perth WA will be happy

Anyone remember the Arsenal side of the late 80's.  Boring, boring Arsenal.  A chant from their own fans who didn't give a toss that they won every match one-nil.

Wouldn’t get your hopes up. Can’t see Moore moving away from the back 5 and I don’t see that win % improving this weekend. Big reaction needed from him and this squad

I agree sadly and I think he has said on this sight that Hall is injured and Mitch Clark is recovering from an operation and jones may not be included but I can’t go as I have to be at Wiltonfest for personal reasons as I am lecturing there

It’s Sky for us southern Valiants. Can’t wait for the away games down at Wimbledon, Gillingham and Bromley!
