Can't wait just like this time last season. What could possibly go wrong? 🫠🙃

It's amazing how we know the opposition will pick out the weak links in the Vale team.

I don't remember us finding too many in our opposition last season.

Dipepa and smith definitely in the training vid

Yeah, different strokes for Smith and Byers given they're behind the main group, but they were about.

Lowe wasn't out there, I believe he picked up a knock on Saturday.

Knock knock who’s there? Injury. Injury who? Most of the squad mate 🤣

I have got everything crossed for a good performance even more than a good result. After the last couple of seasons we need to get out of the blocks as Linford Christie might say, "on the B in bang". If we stumble to poor performances and results and the crowd get on their backs, I can easily see it becoming a self fulfilling prophecy. Come on Vale, give my stressed out old ticker a break.....

About 7 games in last season we were joint-top or something stupid.

Do not make any judgements until 10-12 games, and even then exercise due caution. We're grown men/women. Act accordingly.

Big expectations this season. Agree! Don't want heads falling off! Gotta give it the 10-12 games!

Have a feeling that we may have a 'slowish' start, until we get everyone fit and firing. Hope I'm wrong.

I agree. May take the likes of Paton and Tolaj a few games to find their feet. For Hall and Heneghan to get an understanding. It'll be hard going if we do start slow, as there will be a lot of impatient voices.

You can see Smith, Chislett, Dipepa (I think) and Byers (I think) in the open training session video.

Hopefully if we get a behind closed doors friendly in we can get a couple of them on the bench.

Fully agree. Can imagine a OVF meltdown if we lose on Saturday but the reality is that this side will take some time to come together because the first XI could easily have 7 or 8 new signings in it.

You’d have to think Smith, Byers, Dipepa will all feature on Saturday, if only from the bench.

Firstly we can’t defend. We couldn’t last year and haven’t through preseason. We can score if we can keep the ball. Salford will have done their homework on us and will come at us, that should hopefully give opportunities for us to attack on the counter.

I predict a 2-3 win for the vale, tolaj, Paton and Garrick.

We could possibly start an entire new back 4 (at the very least 3 out of 4), with a new sitting midfielder, and pre-season means nothing.

Is Garrick one of the trialists
